Herman Reunion Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
Fabulous Recipe! I skipped the garlic and added a packet of zesty italian dressing mix and 2 tsp of chopped red pepper. Skipped the hot sauce and rolled in just pecans! My family's favorite. Made 4 cheese balls.

Pretzel Turtles

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2008
Awesome treat! Fast, easy and a favorite of my family and everyone. I used regular mini twists and they fit perfectly. Took other reviewers advice and roasted the pecans first at 325 degrees for about 10 mins. Then I drizzled them with some white almond bark that I melted in the microwave and used a plastic bag with a corner cut out to drizzle it on. Worked great!

Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
After many unsuccesful attempts at making "real" fudge...the worst being completely unedible and the best turning out as hot fudge sauce...I discovered this completely foolproof recipe. I make it on the stove on low heat and stir until the chips are melted, then remove from heat and add a tsp of vanilla and the nuts. Put it in a pan lined with foil and pop in the fridge. My family loves it. I also use 2 cups of semi sweet chips and 1 cup of peanut butter chips for the best 'fudge' flavor. I can't wait to try with coconut and almonds, though.

Wow! Who knew this was all you needed to make peanut butter cookies??? I, however, added a tsp of vanilla and 1/2 tsp salt because I think all cookies shoult be salty and sweet! Delish!!

Angel Crisps

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2008
These were great! I used butter flavored shortening instead of butter and dipped them in colored sugar for Christmas cookies. I baked at 350 for about 10 mins.

Praline Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2007
Great recipe! I used 2 large cans of sweet potatoes. That didn't quite make 4 cups so I added some frozen roasted sweet potatoes with maple glaze. Mashed up with the eggs and added a tsp of cinnamon and a 1/2 tsp of nutmeg. I also used 1 TBSP of vanilla and 1 TBSP of maple syrup. I thought the amount of toppings was perfect, but I put it in the oven for 60 minutes. My family loved this...even my son who "hates" sweet potatoes.

Butterscotch Drops

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2008
These are great! Super easy! I used natural peanut butter and honey bunches of oats (because that's what I had on hand). They made a great and fast addition to my Christmas cookie platter.
