Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
Only thing wrong with this recipe is how much I ate of it!!! Made exactly as written. I keep going back for "one more sliver" and have ended up eating a quarter of the darn thing! AND still want more! Thanks alot for blowing my diet with this one Clark!

Banana Pudding Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2011
If you want to know what this tastes like without having to bake anything, jump in your car and head down to IHOP. Order a tall stack of banana pancakes with glaze. It will have the same preservative taste--processed, sickly sweet, fake flavor as this recipe. Next time I'll make banana bread or muffins with my leftover bananas.

Breakfast Sausage Roll

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2009
This is a great recipe that I have made for years, and is particularly a favorite when I take to Sunday school breakfast-- with one major change. I always mince and saute one whole onion in butter before adding to sausage mixture. I also use Cheddar cheese or a Colby-Jack mix, which keeps it from tasting so much like pizza. Be sure and use the defrosted whole bread loaves, too. Crescents will not give it the same flavor.

Pot Roast in Foil

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
Used a chuck roast--because that's what was on sale! And added 2 Tablespoons steak sauce and 2 T. Worcestershire and dotted with butter (smart balance blend). Sealed in foil-as recipe states-very tightly. (Cooks, you have got to quit cooking in those deathly plastic bags--cancer, cancer; I wouldn't dare.) Anyway, the roast came out great very flavorful, delicious, and moist, and most of all it was simple.

Kathy's Delicious Whole Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
I used a 5lb. chicken and doubled the sauce. I added one whole onion--chopped, but other than that I cooked it as is--on low all day. Served it on a bed of long rain and wild rice with the drippings. I think I will cut back on the oil just a bit next time, but my husband, licking his fingers, said it was just right. The chicken just fell off the bone. All it lacked was a sprinkle of salt and pepper. All in all a fantastic, quick, inexpensive, and easy meal that everyone enjoyed. Thanks for sharing.

Gooey Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
For me, they were just ok. I'll give 4 stars, because the kids loved them, especially after I added the M&M's to the second batch. Oh well, the good news is I'll stay out of them!

Garlic Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2008
I used chicken tenderloins and these were fabulous! Fried them on the stove just as the recipe stated. They were just right--crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. My husband added a bit more salt to his finished pieces, but I thought it was perfect, perfect, perfect!

Red, White, and Blue Fruit Smoothie

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2008
A great fruit smoothie that my kids and I love. They would never eat blueberries on their own, but they'll drink them! I add honey to make this a little sweeter and about a tablespoon of flax seed just to sneak in some fiber! Thanks for the great recipe!

Continental Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2008
This is an easy and tasty recipe. So quick! The second time I made it, I added some cooked chopped chicken as it simmered with the mushrooms, basil, and green beans (as the recipe states, frozen is a must--makes it so nice and crisp!); it was a complete meal in itself! If the chicken has already been cooked and chopped or if you use a rotisserie, you can have a complete healthy meal ready in minutes! Thanks for sharing!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2007
We did not like these at all. They are flat. They are too crispy. The excessive amount of brown sugar, coupled with too much oatmeal, and too little flour makes you chew as if you are eating a crispy chocolate caramel; it is so chewy (as per the title, I suppose, but not what I envisioned when I read chewy). If you like soft and moist cookies that taste like they are fresh from the oven, then choose a different recipe.
