Mini Frittatas

Reviewed: May 29, 2011
I've made these twice now when I'm having people over and both times people have gobbled them up and asked for the recipe. Yummy!

This is so great! I haven't bought taco seasoning since I started using this and I think everything comes out even better!

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
I've made this several times now and even for a diabetic father - I use 1/8 cup Splenda and 1/8 cup sugar and it is still sweet, I also use 1/3 cup brown sugar in the topping.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2010
These were okay but they were too cakey for me. I was expecting them to be more gooey and they weren't chocolatey enough for me either.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
These were delicious, and the dough was so good my tummy hurt from eating too much! Mine definitely spread while cooking, but were about the best I've had. They are more like a cake-cookie, but not enough to give them a bad rating. I followed the recipe exactly except 1c of coarsely chopped nuts and 2c of chocolate chips. DELICIOUS!

Seven Layer Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
This is so good, I make this when I have to prepare something for work and I never have anything to take home. It is so easy to substitute - add other nuts, heath bar pieces, even warmed raspberry jam! YUMMY!

Seven Layer Dip I

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2008
I added some salsa to the chili beans and cooked them together so the bottom of the bowl was hot and the rest was cold. It was fantastic! Thank you for this recipe!

Stovetop Granola

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
I think this is great, and I followed all the recommendations - HOWEVER make sure that you don't leave it on too long when you are first cooking the oats some little oat crumbs got burned and then made the rest of the granola taste burned when it was all done.

Dill Vegetable Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2007
This was great, and I made it almost as is - I added a bit more seasoning than on the recipe since I wanted more flavor. However, I did find that it tasted a lot better after it sat for a while so if you can, make it at least an hr in advance.

Artichoke Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2007
I loved this, but I did make some substitutions. I only used one container each of (lowfat) Cream cheese and (lowfat) Sour cream and I used about 1/3 cup of Parmesan cheese and no butter. It was absolutely delicious and a lot healthier than the original recipe- no one could tell it was a lower fat version.

Toad in the Hole III

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2007
I was disappointed by how heavy the "breading" came out. I'm used to that part being a lot lighter/ fluffier.

Urban Legend Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2007
These are fantastic just the way it is written. I've made them a few times and every time people say they are the best chocolate chip cookie they have ever had! I agree! UPDATE: I made these again with unsalted butter and 1.5 cups choc chips and they were a lot less flavorful, definitely don't do that.

Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
I followed the recommendations and they are essential, it was great with less eggs, 1 tsp cinnamon, bit of lemon and less sugar. I also used Neuchatel instead of cream cheese and it was great with that.

Sarah's Banana Bread Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
I tried several Banana bread/muffin recipes from this site and this was by far the best! I made slight substitutions - 1/2 whole wheat flour; 1/2 brown sugar; used 4 bananas, added 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 tsp cinnamon and a touch of nutmeg.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2007
I thought this was good, but not quite as moist as I would have liked. I did the substitutions - 1/2 w.w. flour; 1/2 c brown sugar and did some butter and some oil. I also think it would have had more flavor with walnuts. The topping is very good, and I used 1T flour and 1T Oats.

Mango Gazpacho

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2007
Yummy! I listened to the other reviews and didn't put in any oil. I diced some of the cucumber and pepper more finely than others (with one of those dicer tools) and it added more texture since the chunk sizes were all different. Excellent! Thank you for this recipe!
