About this Cook
My cooking tragedies
I recently had a stir-fry snafu that was so bad I ended up throwing out food. I NEVER do that! I'd made one, then another, type of noodle and both were horrible! The stir-fry itself was an "every leftover in the fridge" concoction that really, really didn't work. I was going for Italian-Asian fusion: NOT a good combo, I know now! I was so bummed out that I couldn't pull it off! I even tried to then mash up, egg and bread crumb the noodles and "create" noodle pancakes...disaster!! Oh well, live and learn.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Apples, Golden Raisins, and Walnuts
Holy cow! This was SO DELICIOUS! I absolutely loved it. I try very hard to do recipes the first time the way they are presented. The only glitch here was I only had regular raisins. Otherwise - with my fresh from the garden brussel sprouts - this recipe was made the way they posted it and was couldn't-stop-eating-it perfect!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! NEW FAVORITE!

Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus
My family loved this! I only gave it four stars just because I made a couple "plain" without seasoning the cream cheese (I didn't have true Neufchatel), but then we added lemon pepper into the next batch and it was so tasty. I'd absolutely do this again!! Thank you Trish, for sharing.

Mom's Zucchini Bread
This bread has been such a huge hit for me! EVERYONE who tries it loves it. We always grow about 2 dozen zukes, most I get to too late and are huge, so bread is a good way to use them up. I froze several loaves last fall (after giving a bunch away), and just had one last week (it's May!) and it was delicious. Thank you SO much for sharing this recipe with us, "Mom"!!
