I am 24, married 2 years and learning to become a domestic goddess! In the last year and a half I have gone from no cooking, to strictly crockpot cooking, to feeling pretty confident in experimenting with new recipes in foreign cuisines!
My favorite things to cook
My favorite thing to make (at the moment!) is Tunisian Vegetable Couscous. It is a-m-a-z-i-n-g! It's not a terribly challenging recipe, but for all the chopping and slicing, a very rewarding one!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother and grandmother were always in the kitchen, and are incredible cooks. My favorite recipe of theirs is our Christmas lobster stuffed tenderloin with wild rice and mushroom stuffing and stuffed artichokes. YUM!
My cooking triumphs
I have mastered Thai Green Currys! (you have no idea how big a deal this is!!)
My cooking tragedies
The first time I went to make a bean soup in my crockpot I didn't read the directions well and just threw it all in the pot, turned it on and walked away for 8hrs. My house smelled awful! A burning mess, the beans that I had neglected to pre-soak had taken all the liquid in the pot and everything had burned. I broke a wooden spoon trying to get it all out of the pot. Now I read directions, and more importantly, I follow them.

Best of Everything Veggie Burgers
My husband made this yesterday and they were A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! We plan on making a double batch and freezing them this week for future meals. No need to buy frozen, pre-made veggie burgers again!
