About this Cook
A native of Louisiana, making delicious cajun cooking healthy is my passion. I have four children so cooking for a family of six makes every evening a "small dinner party". My husband and children love the way I make meals look as well as taste appetizing, they also appreciate it when I incorporate their favorites into our weekly menus.
My favorite things to cook
Beef Roasts and Briskets are my specialty. I love incorporating traditional jewish menu items into our cajun lifestyle.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love the way that we blend Passover and Hanukkah traditions with our Easter and Christmas meals.
My cooking triumphs
I prepared Crawfish Etouffee for a gymnastics team and found out a little late that there would be another team attending. I quickly converted it into a crawfish etouffee pasta sauce and served it over noodles. It was a success!
My cooking tragedies
My husband is far better at grilling than I am. I'm working on grilling a tastier steak or burger than he can.

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps
These are great! I baked mine in the oven because the weather wasn't good for grilling. I also placed a chunk of pineapple on some of them and they were unique and delicious

Spooky Witches' Fingers
These were a big hit for my daughters 16th birthday/Halloween party. Our favorite joke was to bring them to neighbors and tell them we were bringing over "finger food" (cheezy but they loved it). It's not sweet, more like biscotti which is a nice change from all of the Halloween candy. They were great the next morning with morning coffee.

Russian Mushroom and Potato Soup
Recipe is perfect, no changes needed. My family thought it was a gourmet meal! I usually wow them with my weekend meals but this one was a favorite.
