Stuffed Pepper Soup I

I pretty much followed the recipe, except for the diced tomatoes, and this turned out SO YUMMY!! I made it in a big stainless pot cuz I don't have a Dutch oven, and I added the instant rice uncooked after all the other ingredients and letting it "settle" for about 1/2 an hour. Husband was surprised it tasted a little sweet, but he had only good things to say about this, so thanks :)

Grilled Pizza Wraps

I can't believe how easy these were, and how tasty!! I now have a new quick & easy dinner idea when necessary :) :) Thanks for this recipe; I'm not a chef by any means, so wouldn't have thought to butter a tortilla like I do bread :)

Waldorf Salad II

I personally did not care for this salad mixture; too lemony & way too mayonnaise-y. (I prefer to use Miracle Whip in my Waldorf's, but willing to try new recipes.)

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Excellent Frosting! My only recommendation is whip the heavy cream AFTER doing the other portion; my cream flattened by the time I folded it in (still very good though!) but I enjoyed this frosting and it WAS bowl-lickable :)

Stuffed Artichokes

I scaled the recipe for the 2 artichokes I bought. While I liked this recipe, and it is similar to my Aunt's, I would personally prefer more stuffing. I also would use bread crumbs next time, as it took me quite a bit of mashing to get the bread into "stuffing" size. But a tasty stuffing :)

Parmesan Chicken II

Easily 4.5 Stars! Such a tasty recipe, even w/my own alterations (I read all prior reviews). Took me a little longer than 45 mins @ 400, but the drumsticks were tender and GOOD :) A new favorite in our home!

Cheesy Zucchini Casserole I

4.75 / 5 stars - because it tasted SO good! My alterations: I used zucchini & yellow squash, and even added carrots. I used minced onions instead of chopping my own. Though I toasted my bread first, they were still soggy. However, I think it was my fault due to the egg. I am going to experiment because I am making this for Thanksgiving :) If you follow this recipe, with or without all the cheese, I bet it will turn out well. We really liked this dish.

Butter Icing for Sugar Cookies

I usually read the reviews first, and boy do I wish I had this time! I was in a hurry, so used 1 TBSP of Pure Vanilla Extract ... Oh My Gosh! I added Cherry Flavoring to try to hide the vanilla taste, as well as more margarine and powder sugar. Definitely NOT 1 TBSP of Vanilla! It was alright besides the strong, strong vanilla taste. Seems to set o.k. Pretty glaze w/red food coloring.

Roasted Cornish Hens

My Cornish Hens turned out great, thanks to this recipe. However, it has a strong applesauce taste, which was fine for me. I also did not cut the hens in half (I tried but couldn't finish). This was my first attempt at Cornish Hens. I will make them again (I used frozen, if that matters).

Basic Cream Cheese Frosting

Quick, easy, and tasty! I didn't use all the powder sugar, so it wasn't as sweet as it could have been, plus I added cocoa powder to make it chocolate.

Yellow Cake

Super easy & fairly quick to make. Baking time was only 33 minutes, so that wasn't bad :) Very tasty, though a slight orange taste. I can't wait to frost it w/chocolate!

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

These aren't as good as I thought and I followed the directions exactly. The amount of chocolate chips is good, but I am unsure what the 2 tbsp of cocoa is for. These have a taste of in between chocolate and in between banana, if that makes sense.

Sour Cream Chocolate Frosting

4 Stars...Very easy to make. Good chocolate taste, but there is tang to it! I wanted chocolate frosting, so this didn't quite settle my craving, but it is a tasty recipe.

3.5 stars...Easy to make, pretty good taste, and easily spread. Smooth texture, but too light in color & chocolate taste for me. I would add more cocoa if I try this recipe again.

Fried Cabbage I

I found this recipe to be easy and very tasty. Even my 3 year old ate it! I originally worried about the taste of vinegar but it boils down, and the brown sugar adds just the right amount of sweetness. This is one of my favorite recipes now.

Candied Yams

Very yummy recipe, but I agree marshmallows should be added in at very end, IF YOU WANT TO SEE THEM. Mine melted down & I had no more to use, so it tasted wonderful but didn't have a neat topping. I can't wait to make this again :-)
