Best Ever Slow Cooker Italian Beef Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2014
This was amazing! I wasn't sure what to do with the chuck roast we had, so I tried this. We couldn't stop eating it. My only comment on the recipe is I left out the salt since I knew it would be salty enough with the au jus and good seasonings packet.

Baked Zucchini Squares

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2013
I was hoping this would be a good use for some of the zucchini I have, but I found it to lack flavor. The pepperoni just didn't have the punch to make this a recipe worth repeating. It was not soggy, as some reviewers have said, but it definitely needed something more.

Juicy Grilled Corn On The Cob

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2013
This was our first time grilling corn on the cob. It won't be the last. We've made this several times now and felt it was time for a review. I filled the kitchen sink with cold water and even a few ice cubes. I did add the salt, but only half the sugar amount because the corn in the summer is already nicely sweet. We put it on the grill and let it cook for about 10 minutes and then turn it once, cook another 10 minutes it it is done. Great way to have summer corn on the cob

Blueberry Shortbread Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2013
This was very tasty. I would highly recommend watching the video for some great tips. It's really important to pat down the top layer or else it becomes very crumbly.

Basil Butter

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2013
I made this several times over the summer with my fresh basil. Loved it on corn on the cob! Also used it as a spread on french bread with spaghetti. This is fabulous and I have even mixed it up and frozen it to use this winter for a taste of summer.

Zucchini-Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2013
These were a nice little muffin. Mini-chocolate chips are definitely preferable to regular ones. That way there's just a little taste of chocolate. Didn't change a thing in the recipe.

Fabulous Zucchini Grinders

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2013
These were amazing. My husband and I ate them two nights in a row! We added a few grilled steak strips on the second night and it was a meal of its own.

Guacamole

This was a good guacamole. Make sure to use ripe avocados--not over-ripe! The avocados make the difference.

Triple Chocolate Cake Pops

Reviewed: May 21, 2013
This was a wonderful way to use up the cake that I baked but wasn't pretty enough to just frost and serve. It also makes it way too easy to eat more than one!

Boneless Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: May 21, 2013
We love buffalo wings, and have gone from using wings to legs, but are tired of the mess and bones. This recipe was wonderful! My persnickety 7-year old ate like it was candy! I didn't use the cayenne in the flour seasoning for hers, and it was a hit for the kids. We will definitely use this one over and over. It's so easy to accommodate everyone's tastes. My one tip is to definitely refrigerate the chicken after dipping. The flour/egg really gets messy and goopy if it's not a little solid.

Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2013
This was wonderful bread. Very easy to make and although it's not the prettiest to look at, it tasted wonderful! Took it to a party and it went so fast by DH didn't even get to try it.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

These were just okay. They definitely needed a little more flavor. Next time I'll try a little seasoning.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2012
We tried this version instead of a packaged mix (yuk) and absolutely loved it. I followed the recipe exactly as written, mixing it all in one skillet and then baking it. It is a nice and light cornbread and not overly grainy from the cornmeal. I may try mixing it in a cast iron pan and baking it in the pan too. This is definitely a keeper.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

I made this for a cake walk at our school and it was the first cake grabbed. It really fits the name well and just needs some vanilla ice cream on the side!

Adam's Dirt Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2011
This is a fabulous cookie. It's like a sugar cookie/Oreo combination. It cuts the Oreo flavor just enough. I used half butter, half margarine and they spread just enough and stayed soft. This is a definite will make again! They do look like dirt cookies, but that adds to the fun of them.

Marinated Cucumbers

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2011
These are the absolute best cukes. I'm not a big fan of them normally, but the marinade on these made them hard to resist (and I didn't). This is going to be a standard in our house. Not too vinegary, not too sugary, but a lot of flavor.

Sangria! Sangria!

This was better than the so-called 4* restaurant we went to. Didn't add the cherries or carbonated water and it didn't need it! Wonderful!
