Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

I started using this recipie in2014. These turn out great. Only thing I changed is omitted the onions and added bacon bits.

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

I found this recipie and started making it in December 2014. I haven't changed anything except topping the bread crumbs with grated Parmesan before I bake it. I eyeball the pasta when I dump it in the pan and it turns out great. My boyfriend's daughter loves it. She hovers in the kitchen, "Is it done yet?"

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Turned out great. Boyfriend loved it and it wasn't difficult or too time consuming. Boyfriend doesn't like zucchini so next time I will replace the zucchini with celery. It didn't need to simmer for an hour. Next time I will try throwing everything into the pot at the beginning and let it simmer.

Beer Margaritas

Very tasty and so easy. I took a pitcher of this stuff to a party and it got rave reviews. It's pretty sweet but you can always tone it down a bit if it's too sweet as is. It packs a good punch, just one will make you a happy camper!

Cappuccino in a Jar

My new favorite drink! This recipe turned out great as is. I love the fact that its very versatile. You can increase or decrease the ingredients according to preference without ruining the batch. I made a batch of decaf for my friends who drink decaf and its as good as the caffeinated batch. Of course, I saved some for me to drink in the evening!

Irish Cream Truffle Fudge

This recipe turned out awesome. I grew up with Mackinac Island fudge from Northern Michigan and I think this stuff is every bit as good, maybe better. It comes out thick, but smooth and creamy. Warning, it can be very difficult to cut into squares. I don't use the term thick lightly! Your pan will be heavy!

Pizza Dough I

Note the two steps. Yes, it's pretty much that easy and makes a great pizza crust. My first attempt yielded a pretty thin crust so I increased the ingredients by 25% and got a thickness that I liked better. My daughter is vegan so I use this to make vegan pizza, which turns out great. So good that I'm happy to eat it and I'm not vegan.

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

Something this delicious shouldn't be so ridiculously easy. This sauce is light, yet has a lot of flavor. It's perfect as is, but is a great starter sauce if you want to add meat or whatever. I never cared for the heavy, pasty sauces at the grocery store and now that I've found this, I hope to never have to buy the jar stuff again!

Double Tomato Bruschetta

This is a fabulous appetizer! I chop the tomatoes chunky and take it to parties as a salsa. Everybody loves it. I tried using the french bread but everyone prefers to just scoop it out of the bowl with tortilla chips. It's perfect as is. I've never even been tempted to variate this recipe, except to omit the cheese and french bread.
