Ham and Cheese Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
I thought this was pretty bland, but a good base to add veggies or spices to give it more flavor or kick.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
Followed directions to a T, but I don't know how you're supposed to stick a toothpick or something wooden in this cake and have it come out clean to tell if it's done due to all the melted chocolate chips. I baked for the longest time specified (55 mins) using a tube cake pan and once it started cooling the entire cake collapsed. At least the chunks of cake taste good. :/

Lover's Beef Burgundy Filet

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
Mixed reviews on this. My husband, our two sons and I didn't care for it. Our oldest daughter did. I definitely prefer a bourbon based marinade.

I don't know why I've never made one of these before, but I'm glad I tried it! This was very much a filling comfort food and I will be making this again soon. Very easy and tasty!

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
I don't care for sausage, so I made this with chicken breasts and it turned out so tasty! Entire family enjoyed this one, thanks!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
Soooo good! Like a few others I also doubled this recipe and cooked it stove top. I added chicken broth in addition to the beer. I used a store bought rotisserie chicken to shred and wow, this was loved by my entire family (including the kids who initially looked at it with hesitation). Definitely a keeper!

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
I made this twice: once by following the recipe exactly, next by omitting the bread crumbs and adding half & half cream with the different cheeses... I liked it better the 2nd time. Either way, fantastic recipe!

Red Skinned Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
Skipped the bacon, used 1c mayo, 1c sour cream, and generous amount of dill weed. Turned out very good although I prefer mustard or southern potato salad.

Only change I made was in using ground turkey. Very filling, didn't need a salad or bread! Entire family thought it was great.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

This chicken is so tender it just falls apart! I used Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce and omitted the brown sugar. My entire family LOVED this!

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: May 22, 2008
I wanted a recipe w/chicken and spinach, but I don't care for mushrooms. So instead I used sauted diced potatoes with red onion as the bottom layer, then added the sauted spinach w/garlic, then the sauce and chicken. I didn't precook the chicken, instead I baked for 50 mins. After the first 30 mins, I covered with monteray jack cheese and real bacon. Even my kids loved this one, thanks!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: May 4, 2008
I accidentally used a pot roast which added more work in removing the fat and cutting the meat because it was a little tough, but GREAT flavor! Made sandwiches with provolone and grilled onions.

Great flavor, but I don't care for the crunchiness when you bite into a strawberry seed.

Definitely a keeper! I usually don't like pork BBQ, but this recipe has changed my mind. The entire family LOVED this on kaiser rolls w/fries. So easy and delicious (Try Sticky Fingers Carolina Sweet Sauce).

Very tasty just the way it is. I then tried adding a can of diced tomatoes with basil, oregano and garlic... good this way as well.

Bev's Chocolate Pie

Very good, although it's so sweet and chocolatey it tastes more like a fudge pie... but no complaints from my family.
