Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
I made this twice. The first time I made it exactly as written, that's why it gets 3, maybe 4 stars. I thought it was missing a bit of depth and dynamic. For a 5 star recipe substitute one of the cans of potato soup for mushroom, add chopped onion, more ham (or ham and back bacon/peameal bacon since I had some left over from another recipe), and crumble some real bacon on top, make sure the bacon is fairly crispy first, then put on top for the last 10 minutes. I promise great results, and to wow your guests! Also, the second time, I made this the night before. Which made made it super easy in the morning to just pop it in the oven.

Mussels Mariniere

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
I'm giving this 5 stars based on that it was actually super easy to make (it was my first time making mussels!), and my husband liked it! I don't eat seafood, so I couldn't tell ya. But it sure smelled amazing! Based on other reviewers, I doubled the garlic, and did NOT add cream as I wanted to keep things a bit healthier. I also made sure to have bread for dipping in the sauce (and that's exactly what hubby did!) Very easy, little work, with glamourous results. I'd serve this at a dinner party and wow guests for sure. I served this as an appetizer for the Lemon Garlic Tilapia on this site, and a salad.

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2009
This is my husbands favourite meal that I make. I also use italian seasoned bread crumbs (or add Italian seasoning to the bread crumbs, or some dried oregano and basil, garlic powder) I also used mozzarella instead of Monterey Jack. And my husband loves double breaded. Thanks for the recipe. It's a household favourite!

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
I really loved this recipe! I did not know what andoullie sausage was/couldn't find it/ therefore didn't have it. I took another reviewers suggestion for this problem and used keilbosa and added more cayenne to add more spiciness. I cooked 1 cup rice (which made 2 cups), and added it at the end. It does soak up all the liquid even if its precooked. The recipe calls for the Jambalaya to be served OVER the rice, so those complaining it soaked it up, we weren't supposed to put it in the pot. I did because I like it mixed. Next time I'll only cook 1/2 cup of rice if I'm going to mix it in. My hubby took it to his mothers the next day (work at family business), and every ate it, and some took it for lunch the following day! Thanks for a great recipe!

Grilled Pineapple Slices

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
Loved this! And we aren't pineapple people. I precoated my pineapple ahead of time, and let it sit in the fridge until I was ready to throw it on the grill (maybe 30 minutes?). I actually cut it into chunks, dipped them in a blend of white sugar, brown sugar & cinnamon, and put on skewers. (Don't forget to soak the wooden skewers in water so they don't burn) Thanks for a great recipe! A real keeper, and impresses company!

I don't like seafood and I enjoyed this! I accidentally made too much sauce, but it was really good! A little salty, but that could be because I made too much.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
I took these potatoes to a family Christmas party with some possible fussy eaters and the dish was licked clean! Even the kids ate it! I took others suggestions and roasted the garlic (one batch I roasted garlic in the oven, the oner on the stove, and the oven version I liked better), and I didn't have Romano cheese so I used Parmesan and it turned out fantastic. Everyone loved it and wants the recipe! I even made it the night before, and it still turned out great! Thank you for such a fantastic recipe!

Easy Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2008
Thanks so much for such a great recipe! I've made this a few times now, it's become a household staple. I love that you can use whatever creamy soup you have on hand! And it's fast! It's very adaptable if you want to add ingredients (other reviewers), but I tend to just stick to it and add the extra tuna and soup, it's just so good! Thanks so much!

Strawberry Pie II

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
Mine didn't set wonderfully either. I did brush the crust with chocolate, which was so wise! Thank you to that reviewer! With it not setting as solidly as I would have liked, the chocolate at least prevented a soggy crust and everyone enjoyed that. The next time I make it I think I might try freezing the finished pie and take it out to thaw slightly before serving.

Taco Seasoning I

I couldn't believe how great this tasted! It's the only taco seasoning I use now! It's great for chilli. This makes a good amount of seasoning, be prepared to store the rest, you WILL use it later :) Thanks so much for a great recipe!

Caesar Salad Supreme

I didn't have the anchovies or anchovy paste so I just left it out, but those who ate it said when they make it you can't taste it either, it just adds the extra dynamic to the sauce. RAVE reviews when I took this to my sister-in-love's baby shower... I figured, it's Ceasar salad how amazing could this dressing be? And apparently it's AMAZING! Thanks for a Fantastic recipe... also, I used the Garlic Crouton Recipe from this site, and I was told that I can go to visit only if I bring those croutons!

Cheesy Artichoke Mini Tarts

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
First time around I forgot to add the artichokes so I just chopped them up and pushed them in. I found the filling is not nearly enough to make as much as stated, you'll want to double it. The second time I made it, my artichokes from the first time already expired so I just made it without and it got RAVE reviews AGAIN! Thanks so much for a fantastic recipe... I'm getting requests for it already!
