I like mine super spicy, so I omit the amount of sugar. I also add some dried red chili peppers (course grind), or if you don't have that cayenne pepper about 1 1/2 Tablespoons. also add 2 tablespoons of vinegar. Also, for fun instead of drumettes, I use a whole cornish hen chopped into chunks the size of drumettes. Or for healthier approach use, chicken breast chunks (not frozen).
