I am the insane mother of 4 children, The Brain, The Artist, The Little Mother, & The Baby in Charge. We also have 2 dogs, affectionately known as Pinky & the Brain, a Carren Terrier & a Weimaraner. My husband is a full time College student going for a Bio-Chem Degree, so I get to be a married single mom :) jk. I started cooking when I was very young, I grew up out in the country ( my kids call it the middle of no-where) We had home grown beef, chicken, & eggs, fresh goats & cows milk. I have a strong background in cooking my mother, both Grandma's, my Aunts, & 2 older sisters all cook, so if I ever need help or inspiration, I have lots of people to call! :)
My favorite things to cook
Soup is my favorite everyday thing to cook. I love making fancy, cute little appetizers, and tiny little desserts. One of my kiddo's is a self-proclaimed Vegan so I have been learning how to incorporate that in our day to day meals with the help of my Husbands colleague from India.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Friday night pizza baking, we love the Valentino's pizza crust recipe on here! New Years Day Brunch, Where all My 7 Sib's(& families) meet at the parents place, everyone brings a new dish to share!
My cooking triumphs
Anything I don't burn! lol, jk! :) When my kiddo's clean their plate & ask when can we have it again that is my greatest triumph :)
My cooking tragedies
Catching a dishtowel on fire, TWICE!, in the first week of my marriage! My hubby had serious doubts about my cooking abilities! It probably didn't help that about a month later I exploded a pot of boiling oil all over the kitchen when I was deep frying on the stove, without a thermometer! I caught the burner on fire, set off the smoke alarm, and got grease all over the floor! I'm a kitchen phyro, I admit it! :) LOL
