Pumpkin Chili Mexicana

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
This is great! I did not add the green pepper because we do not care for them too much. I, also, did not add the salt. The canned veggies have more than enough already. After cooking the turkey, onions and garlic, I threw everything in the crock pot and let it cook on low for a few hours. It was an easy dinner to have while watching the Cardinals in the National League playoffs.

Herb Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
This was great. I did double the rub. The roast came out very moist and tender. I made a sandwich for lunch the next day. Yum! I may try using balsamic vinegar next time.

Department Store Onion Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
I have always loved this recipe. I got it out of the paper a long time ago. My recipe is a little different though. It does not have paprika and it calls for 3/4 cup of flour. It also says to make it one day and let it sit in the fridge overnight and heat it the next day. The last time I made it, I was hungry so I had some after simmering for about an hour. Don't do that! It was really missing something. I had another bowl the next day for lunch after letting it finish cooking. It was great as usual.

Penne with Chicken and Asparagus

Reviewed: May 13, 2009
I had some asparagus that needed to be used, so I thought I would try this recipe. I used seasoned salt and added mushrooms. I, also, used whole wheat penne. It was great! I can't wait until I get more asparagus at the farmer's market to make this again. I may try adding spinach and peas next time.

Oriental Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
These were great. I used 1/2 inch thick bone-in pork chops and I marinated them almost 24 hours. I had great grill marks on the chops. Too bad I didn't have my camera.

French Bread Rolls to Die For

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
I made these for Christmas and we really enjoyed them. I used my bread machine to mix the dough. The rolls were very big. Next time, I will probably make more than 16.

Colorful Kielbasa

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2007
We just finished having this for dinner. We really enjoyed it. I used fresh mushrooms that I had sauted in olive oil, instead of a jar. I, also, did not have enough cheddar, so I used some quesadilla chesse. My husband added garlic and onion powder to his. I may add that to the whole dish next time. Thanks for the recipe!

Dijon Grilled Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2008
I loved this recipe! I didn't have any apple juice, so I added orange juice, instead. It was too windy to grill outside, so I used my indoor grill. The chops were thick, so it took a while, but it was worth the wait. I can't wait until next time when I will grill them outside.

I made this yesterday with some leftover ham. I followed the recipe except I used Grey Poupon's Harvest Coarse Ground Mustard. I just finished my sandwich I brought to work and it is delicious. Thanks so much for the recipe.

Chipotle Crusted Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2013
This is the very first recipe I save to my recipe box way back in May of 2007. I've been wanting to try it forever and we finally did. I could not find the chipotle chili powder. I did find ground chipotle chili and chipotle seasoning. I decided to use the seasoning because I thought it wouldn't be as hot. While I like some spice, I didn't want it to be too hot. The seasoning came in a grinder bottle, so I ground about 2T and decided that was enough. My husband grilled it perfectly and it was delicious. We still have another tenderloin in the freezer and we will make this again. I'm sorry we waited so long.

Horseradish Honey Ham

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
I love this ham. My husband is not much of a ham eater and even he thought it was great. The second time I made it, I took it to a potluck picnic and it got rave reviews. Thanks for the recipe.

Poulet de Provencal

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2015
I really loved this recipe. I did make some changes because of whatI had on hand. I used 1/2 onion instead of the shallot, button mushrooms instead of the crimini, and the St. Louis favorite, provel cheese instead of the provolone. It was pretty quick and easy, too. It would be great for a weeknight.

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2007
I made this today for lunch and I really enjoyed it. My can of tuna was only 6 oz., so I did cut back a little on everything else. I didn't really measure. I just guessed. I, also, left out the onion because I didn't have any. Thanks for the recipe!

We really enjoyed this soup. I used spicy Italian sausage, low sodium beef broth and did not add any salt or pepper. It was still great and I will make it again. Thanks!

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
I really enjoyed these potatoes. I followed the recipe fairly closely except I used low sodium chicken broth and light mayo. I did add the salt. Next time, I will check the potatoes as they are baking because I would like them not quite so soft.
