Poulet de Provencal

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2015
I really loved this recipe. I did make some changes because of whatI had on hand. I used 1/2 onion instead of the shallot, button mushrooms instead of the crimini, and the St. Louis favorite, provel cheese instead of the provolone. It was pretty quick and easy, too. It would be great for a weeknight.

Pork Butt Roast with Vegetables

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2014
Very good. I did not sear the roast. I just put everything except the mushrooms in the crock pot with chicken broth instead of water. I cooked it for 8 hours overnight, put it in the fridge, skimmed off the fat, added the mushrooms and then reheated again before dinner time. Sometimes I don't like the texture of meat cooked in the crock pot, but I liked this. My husband really liked the result. I added a squirt or 2 of sriracha sauce to mine for a little kick.

It is a good basic recipe. Next time, I may add some Worcestershire sauce for more flavor.

Swanny's Killer Fajitas

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2013
We liked it, but we didn't love it. I let it marinate overnight, so I was expecting big flavor and it just wasn't there. It was definitely quick and easy, but I doubt I will make it again.

Balsamic Roast Beef Recipe - Cooking | Add a Pinch | Robyn Stone

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2013
This is great! Even my husband loved it and he doesn't like balsamic vinegar as much as I do. The only changes I made were I used the whole can of beef broth and I mixed it up the night before, put it in the fridge overnight, and turned on the crockpot in the morning before I left for work.

Chicken Souvlaki Gyro Style

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2013
We really enjoyed this recipe. I used fat free balsamic vinaigrette from Trader Joes in the marinade. I may make just the chicken sometime because I thought it was very flavorful on its own. I used low fat sour cream and fat free yogurt in the tzatziki sauce. I used fresh dill from my garden. I may have put too much in because it was very strong. The sauce still tasted very good, though. I don't like cucumbers, but for some reason I like tzatziki sauce. I didn't use the olives or pepperoncini, but I don't think they were missed. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Microwave Bread-and-Butter Pickles

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2013
These are great and oh so easy. I got a couple of English cucumbers in my first CSA grocery bag. Neither my husband nor I like cucumbers very much. I searched for something I could make using them and found this recipe. I followed the recipe except that I forgot to add the salt. They are delicious. My only question is how long do these keep? Thanks for posting this recipe.

We really liked this recipe. Next time, I will have some bread so as not to waste one drop of the sauce.

Greek Feta Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2013
Very good! I used non-fat Greek yogurt. I marinated it overnight and cooked it on my GF grill since it was raining out. Next time, we will grill it. I can't wait for the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Thanks for the recipe.

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2013
I kept seeing this recipe recommended on Recipe Buzz. I thought to myself that they can not be as good as everyone says. Well, I finally tried them myself and they are just as good as everyone says, maybe even better. I usually end up eating 1 or 2 (or maybe even more) as soon as I take them out of the oven. I like doubling the recipe and freeze the extras for a quick meal. I need to start tripling it. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Curry Stand Chicken Tikka Masala Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2013
This recipe is fantastic. We had some leftover heavy cream from an appetizer I made for a Super Bowl party. I saw this recipe and decided to try it. My husband was home from work and he is actually the one who made it, so I don't know if he made any changes. If I had to guess, I would say he added more curry. I really want to make this again, but I don't usually cook with cream. It may be reserved for special occasions or I may try it with light coconut milk instead of the cream. Thanks for the recipe. It was a real treat.

Chipotle Crusted Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2013
This is the very first recipe I save to my recipe box way back in May of 2007. I've been wanting to try it forever and we finally did. I could not find the chipotle chili powder. I did find ground chipotle chili and chipotle seasoning. I decided to use the seasoning because I thought it wouldn't be as hot. While I like some spice, I didn't want it to be too hot. The seasoning came in a grinder bottle, so I ground about 2T and decided that was enough. My husband grilled it perfectly and it was delicious. We still have another tenderloin in the freezer and we will make this again. I'm sorry we waited so long.

This is soooo good. We've made it twice, once with all ground beef, once with all ground turkey. You can't go wrong either way.
