Garlic Crab Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2012
Like other reviewers, I could not find garlic and mushroom soup mix. I bought onion/mushroom soup mix and added a teaspoon of minced garlic. Next time, I will probably cut back to 1/2 tsp of minced garlic, but overall, it was a VERY good recipe and I will definitely make again. Very easy to make, and my husband and company loved it and could not quit eating it. They didn't think it had too much garlic, but I will try it with less next time.

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2012
I'm giving this 3 stars for ease. Not terrible, but it can definitely be improved by not using canned chicken. I will probably not make again.

Mom's Baked Beans I

Absolutely delicious and simple to make - very delicious flavor! My mother, who doesn't LOVE baked beans, LOVED THESE! She had several helpings! Love these - thanks!

Red Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
These were good. I listened to other reviews and just added 1 teaspoon of sugar - it was still too sweet for my taste. My husband said he liked them a lot (and did not say they were too sweet) and he had several helpings, but when I asked if they were his favorite he said they were not as creamy as he would would like.

This was pretty good, but it was not as sweet as I would have preferred.

Apple and Pecan Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
Very good and so simple. I used Stove Top and then added the pecans and apples. My family loved it...when they asked how I made it, they were totally surprised to learn that it started from Stove Top.

Peanut Butter-Chocolate Banana Cream Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
Very good pie - everyone loved it! The peanut butter taste was dominant - if I make again, I would probably add more chocolate...the chocolate flavor was very faint.

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2008
This is a good casserole, and my 2-year old ate it, which is quite a feat. I cut my chicken in bite-size pieces and sauteed first and then added it to the sauce before I poured it over the spinach and mushrooms. Next time, I will probably leave out the fresh mushrooms - just my personal preference.

Chocolate Covered Blueberry Smoothie

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2008
I followed this recipe exactly except I substituted strawberries for blueberries. I did not like it - I love chocolate, but the hot chocolate gave this a strange flavor/texture. Will not make this again.

Peanut Butter and Banana Smoothie

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2008
Very good smoothie. It definitely tastes like a peanut butter and banana sandwich. Like other reviewers, I also omitted the honey and used chocolate milk instead. My only complaint - I would have preferred it a little sweeter - maybe the honey would have helped.

Apple Crisp II

Absolutely delicious - the best apple crisp I have ever had! I (like previous reviewers) also used about 1/2 the water and it was perfect.

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2004
This was a very good recipe and not difficult. I fixed it for a dinner party with my friends and they all wanted a copy of the recipe. I would like to see the spinach/cheese mixture have a little more flavor - I did not use pepperjack cheese (I used a colby and monterey jack mix)which might have given it the extra little kick it needed.

Black Bean and Corn Salad I

Reviewed: May 19, 2004
This was just OK to me. Kind of bland. In defense of the recipe, I only let it sit 9 hours in the refrigerator instead of overnight.

Classic Fajitas

Reviewed: May 19, 2004
I made these for a Cinco de Mayo supper club, and I got rave reviews and several people asked for the recipe. Extremely easy! I followed the recipe exactly. The recipe did seem to complement the chicken better than the beef.

Double Layer Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2003
I rated this recipe a "5", but beware! It is EXTREMELY rich - almost too rich. I used a chocolate cookie crust rather than graham cracker, and it was very good. Made it for my family's Thanksgiving, and many LOVED it but others thought it was too rich. Overall, a very good recipe if you like a chocolate/peanut butter combo.
