Honey-Garlic Slow Cooker Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2014
This recipe is fabulous!! There are only a few pieces of advice I would offer. Firstly, save your money & use bone-in thighs. The meat is so tender, it will fall right off the bone. I remove the skins, as I don't like that much added fat. I cooked at least 8 thighs using this amount of sauce. Once the chicken is cooked, I remove the chicken & thicken the sauce with a tablespoon of corn starch & water. Serve it over rice or with noodles. Plus, we keep any left over sauce & use it later in the week for a stir fry.

Grilled Asian Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2013
Awesome, easy & authentic tasting! I combined the ingredients & simply marinated the chicken. There isn't a need to cook the marinade before adding the meat. I used chicken thighs & garnished them with sesame seeds & green onions. I think this marinade would go well with any meat, including beef & salmon.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
VERY GOOD!! I made a smaller portion, as my husband was away. it tasted great, the house smelled great & I can't wait to make it again. Next time, I will experiment with diced mushrooms & finely diced onion for added flavour. Thank you!

Roasted Beets and Sauteed Beet Greens

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
This was a hit! I would exclude the stalks int he future & only use the green part of the stalk. Easy & delicious!!! The root of the beet was carmalized like candy.

Baked Havarti Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
This was alright & smelled incredible while cooking; however that was the italian dressing & I would use it again for marinating & baking chicken breasts. As for the topper - it didn't WOW me.

Crumb-Coated Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2009
I followed the advice of others & increased the quantity of the coating to accomodate more chicken thighs. The flavour is incredible & YES, better than the store bought chicken shaker. This will be a staple chicken coating in our house.

Roasted Beets with Feta

Delicious! The colours in this dish present beautifully. I used red onion instead of the shallots & the parsley added a wonderful fresh crispness. I look forward to making this with shallots - tastes great!

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
Excellent recipe!! So easy to make! I admit - I added white & portobello mushrooms to the pan & cooked them with the gravy. You do not have to brown the meat, just flip it once while in the oven & the colour will be lovely.

Excellent dressing/dip. I used almond milk with lemon juice as a subsitute for buttermilk. The consistancy if perfect as dressing or dip.

Oatmeal Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
An excellent healthy choice! My husband was hesitant when I told him we were having "Oatmeal Chicken" however he too went back for seconds. I felt that the recipe was heavy on chili powder & will use half as much next time. An excellent meal!!
