This is a little late as I was waiting on some numbers to come in from Allrecipes.com before I posted my blog. Recently, I set out with some fellow AR'ers to do a special event, where the goal in mind was....to make as many faceless(non-pictured) recipes on the website and put a "Tried and… MORE

About this Cook
I'm an active mom of 4 with a recent Retired Army Vet hubby, and took on a huge move to the great up north. I'm a full~time homemaker, part~time food blogger, avid & obsessed novice photographer, recently left my communications job at a nice size hospital to take on caterering, now that I'm re~establishing myself, I am the owner of Goff's Goodies Galore. I love allrecipes and pretty much an addict. I'm also a new member to Rogue Valley Photography Club, and an Allrecipes Allstar Brand Ambassador. And have stamped allrecipes on me for life. The site has opened up my eyes to so much more then just recipes. I feel more cultured then all my years of actually traveling all over the world. I'm proud to be a member of this site and my love, passion & learning other recipes from other valued members has really broaden my horizens.
My favorite things to cook
Asian, Mexican, Multi-cultured foods, Low-fat, Low-sugar, Stews, casseroles, slow cooker meals and baking......Everything!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Funny but true: Cooking traditions men sit in the recliner and women in the kitchen...lol My family is always in the kitchen. My sister and her family, my parents and my family celebrate Christmas in January. Due to distance and work related jobs. Every year we plan what we are having ahead of time. Our tradition is usually food we've had abroad growing up overseas. Normally with Asia influences. It's always a special treat when we normally don't make the dishes often throughout the year.
My cooking triumphs
Unknown to me when I came up with a chicken and dumpling recipe of my own, my father was floored & delighted and told me it tasted just like his mother's.......My mom dropped her jaw because it was better then her's. It's a staple with my husband and kids.
My cooking tragedies
I had found a recipe for a Pretzel Pie(like Pecan Pie), thought it looked good and I didn't follow the recipe when it said unsalted pretzels. I just grabbed the normal stuff with the salt on it, made the pie, and my dad and husband were painting with thrist. And making weird pickle sour expressions, when I realized the pie was over salted. Oopppss! I never made it again.

Emmi's Banana Wraps
My kids really enjoyed this healthy treat. Using a healthy granola with acai berries in it also helps. Will make again ;-)

Arabian Rose Water Pudding (Muhalbiyah)
easy recipe, but however, I couldn't get past the smell of rose petals in my digestion. Something about eating what I normally smell on potpourri and perfumes, wasn't something I could handle after I made it. I really am trying to be subjective here. While I love the fragrance of roses...this totally took me to a new level when trying to down it in this recipe. Had I been accustom to eating this growing up, I would probably have enjoy it. But putting it in my mouth and swallowing it, was very off-putting when I did. I couldn't get past the one spoonful. But you don't know these things until you try them. And now I'm experienced to know, I won't be making again. My apologies. This recipe will probably suit others that are accustom to eating and drinking rose water, just won't be making it again in my household.

Maple Kale Crisps
oh man...didn't like it, couldn't eat it. Everyone in the house didn't care for it at all. 1st time I've ever made this preparation, so I can honestly say, won't again. Sorry to those that do like kale chips. It wasn't pleasing to anyone's taste buds. Sorry
