Well, it's another term with as An Allstar Brand Ambassador....this month, what did I get myself into...?!!! A lot! Living in Oregon offically a year and 1 month and offically in our house now a year. A lot has gone on, a lot had hit my family(good and bad) but mainly we're living what we want to be living. I feel we are at a place in life now, where the kids are getting settled into the west coast, up in the mountains and greenery for miles. Loving the ability to head to the coast, walk on the beach, take photos here and there and relax a little...but who am I kidding, I'm a busy mom, wife, doggie sitter and a foodie allstar. Somewhere this month I'm breathing....I think LOL.
My kids went back to school this month, a lot of new changes. My littliest one will graduate Elementary school this year, one of my middle kiddos will graduate middle school & my oldest will be 16 in how the time flies. YIKES! Can't believe that's possible, but it's true. And my son, has ventured without me for a month over the summer...and that's a 1st. How I'm going to miss this when their grown and gone.
So topic at favorite site besides FB. A few months back, Al Fresco joined Allrecipes as a sponsor and as a Trusted Brands for recipes using their products. The allstars did quite a few recipes and this month was no different asking again to do the same. I have a favorite...which is the Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage and Tortellini Soup , it's my ultimate favorite out of all the recipes Al Fresco recipes. Just YUM!
Soo this month I did 3 different recipes from before and also had to come up with a recipe using their product....that was a last minute "Hell Mary" recipe, only because I got soo busy, then got sick from the kids...never fails when school starts, I get ill. Now that I look at the soup picture, sure should have been great to have had a bowl of this. Sooooo, my recipe, came to me, when I was finishing up other recipes for the month and I had some fresh that I needed to use and saw a container of Marniated Mozzarella balls and thought hmmmm, I wonder...and just went right to work making baked sausage balls stuffed with cheese. It worked and was pleased with the results. Their HUGE and very filling. Hubby and the boys were happy. My girls never got a chance to try them...poor things, they were gathering clothes and luggage to help pack for Disney World to even get a chance at trying them. I guess that means I need to make them again...LOL!
I'm posting the link to my new personal recipes as well as a menu, to enjoy other ways to have an Al Fresco dinner....enjoy!

About Me
I'm an active mom of 4 and married the love of my life. I'm a full~time certified care giver, part~time food blogger @ , avid & obsessed novice photographer. I love allrecipes and pretty much an addict. I'm also a new member to Banana Belt Photography Club that's local to my community, and an Allrecipes Allstar Brand Ambassador. And have stamped allrecipes on me for life. The site has opened up my eyes to so much more then just recipes. I'm proud to be a member of this site and my love, passion & learning other recipes from other valued members has really broaden my horizens.
My favorite things to cook
Asian, Mexican, Multi-cultured foods, Low-fat, Low-sugar, Stews, casseroles, slow cooker meals and baking......Everything!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Funny but true: Cooking traditions men sit in the recliner and women in the My family is always in the kitchen. My sister and her family, my parents and my family celebrate Christmas in January. Due to distance and work related jobs. Every year we plan what we are having ahead of time. Our tradition is usually food we've had abroad growing up overseas. Normally with Asia influences. It's always a special treat when we normally don't make the dishes often throughout the year.
My cooking triumphs
Unknown to me when I came up with a chicken and dumpling recipe of my own, my father was floored & delighted and told me it tasted just like his mother's.......My mom dropped her jaw because it was better then her's. It's a staple with my husband and kids.
My cooking tragedies
I had found a recipe for a Pretzel Pie(like Pecan Pie), thought it looked good and I didn't follow the recipe when it said unsalted pretzels. I just grabbed the normal stuff with the salt on it, made the pie, and my dad and husband were painting with thrist. And making weird pickle sour expressions, when I realized the pie was over salted. Oopppss! I never made it again.
