What can I say....we on Allrecipes.com are recipe hogs. Saving Saving Saving.......then opps, forgot that we saved so many, you find your self with over thousands of recipes and not nearly a quarter of them made. SO
I took on a change to all AR'ers to go to the back of "our" recipe box and look for the oldest recipe we have saved. And make it..there was a reason why I saved the ones I did, but opps I forgot to even make them. So I'm setting a challenge out. Let's find
those deep hidden recipes and start making them. With that in mind, I had a quite popular one in my box, with over 2,744 reviews to date and over 77 thousand people have this recipe saved in their boxes...isn't that just wack-a-doodle crazy?

Now I received a few emails from some of our resident AR'ers that actually made the challenge. And to this blog I'm posting just the ones that emailed me that did make the recipes and reviewed them and also with bonuses' sent
photos. I think I confuse a few people and soo sorry if I did that. Again the idea in mind to the Hidden Treasures' blog is to find recipes that are the oldest in our recipe boxes that weren't made or reviewed, then make them and review them so that they are
no longer the oldest and forgotten recipes in our boxes and get them out there and show other's...well...look what I made. So I'm going to start with the 1st Ar'ers that emailed me in order and show what they had hidden in their boxes.

in her email, she states that, they really enjoyed the sauce very much. Made a couple of minor changes, nothing really big but something that benefited her family. She made the sauce with chicken instead of fish, but how wonderful is that...yum and totally
sees the reason why it's perfect for fish. Now here's another recipe I'm totally going to have to make too. Thanks Marianne. And I adjusted the color a little bit for ya, to show off your photos. Also to help this recipe out, over a thousand people have saved
this recipe to their recipe box but it only has 18 reviews...Okay people, I know there are fish loving sauce people out there....let's see if we can't get more people to try it and do look at Marianne's review for her little changes.

that look absolutely delish. Great Job! Christina says in her email to me that, she made the recipe to a T, with the exception of making 6 rolls instead of 8. And would make them quite often. Very yummy indeed. I love onion just about anything. This recipe
is also in low number reviews with 118 to boot but over 5 thousand people have saved to there boxes as well.
Ms. Rae, did a neat recipe on pancakes. I've even got to try making this but, they look totally yummy and I'm actually quite intrigued. Her recipe was Grain and Nut Whole Wheat Pancakes (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Grain-and-Nut-Whole-Wheat-Pancakes/Detail.aspx<
Ms. Rae said these were yum and they were "better!" then going to get them at IHOP, which is a favorite spot for her for pancakes. And to know honestly these are better then IHOP's must be a total winner in my book. IHOP has some awesome pancakes. Great job
as well. She did a little bit of a change to accomendate making more pancakes needed for her when she made this recipe, make sure you check out her review, might be totally worth trying it her way. This recipe has over 8 thousand people that have saved this
recipe and only 188 reviews to day. Not bad amount of review either, but come on people...let's get the grains a cracking on this recipe. I have it planned in the near further to make for my kids.
Next up we have Jodi

When I make a recipe and I'm on the fence about it I do what she did, wait and see what the family thinks before I say how I feel about it.. And in turn her hubby stated to her what she felt about the recipe. Sad she won't be making it again, But her and her
hubby felt that the potatoes was a bit much for them in the recipe and that the bacon should have stood out with bold flavor and didn't. She tells me that she probably won't make this recipe again as the result. But said it was an interesting recipe to try
at least. This recipe has over 11 thousand people that have save it and only 101 reviews.
Next we have ChristineM

or hence the flavors in this dish. The recipe sounds so delish and I probably would agree that this dish sounds like a great creative way to add in other flavors. This recipe has over 25 thousand people that have saved this recipe...wow and has 283 reviews.

Ms. Basil did a dessert, that to me looks sinful just by the photo. Don't we all love chocolate? Her recipe was Italian Love Cake(http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Italian-Love-Cake/Detail.aspx<
Overall she had some directional issues that didn't work her way, as many of us have had with recipes, when we feel they should be doing one thing and then it doesn't work well in our favor. I have had that numerous times, but she complaiments the mousse and
cheese flavors in this recipe and as an end result, she thought the cake was nice but probably won't make it again. I think the photo looks heavenly myself. I might just get suckered into trying it. =) This recipe has over 8 thousand people that have saved
it and only 171 reviews.
Next we Have SB
Ms. SB has made a cookie I've been totally wanting to make for years. I've had my taste for them since I worked with a lady that made them fresh weekly and shared with her co-workers. Her recipe was Mexican Wedding Cookies(http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Mexican-Wedding-Cookies/Detail.aspx<
And boy do they look yummy. SB totally compliments these cookies as beeing moist and delicious, not so sweet but letting the flavor of vanilla shine through and also recommends that when making this recipe that you double the recipe because they go quickly.
Well that's a tip to know. She does recommend this recipe to others. This recipe needs more help with getting popular, with only 114 reviews and only 5 thousand people have saved this recipe.
Next is Metread
Our Metread..smiles =)...did a recipe that took her a bit to find 1 ingredient to try and stay true to the recipe. This recipe she did is called Traditional Osso Buco(http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Traditional-Osso-Buco/Detail.aspx<
I will agree with her stating to me that, I too have seen this recipe made on numberous cooking shows. She had to do some searching and planned for a while to make this recipe but needed veal shanks, which I assume is not that available in her area. I've looked
around myself, here where I live and it is readily available for me. And having waited and finally finding it, she said it was a complete success in her time and using this praticular recipe. She says the recipe is quite amazing and was glad to have made it.
And finding the veal shanks is totally a treasure. She will make this again. This recipe has just under 5 thousand saved to people's recipe box but a huge help in getting this recipe out there to make, it's only recieved 68 total reviews. Need some help AR'ers
just might be worth making and spreading the word on this recipe.
