I received your email the other day, it was so sweet you had a great weekend. Mine was pretty much packed full. As I work on the weekends. This week has gone by so fast. I am in the mist of getting ready to head to Florida on a trip planned with my parents. I'm soo excited to head to Miami's South Beach and check out the local area. Because later next friday, is going to be very special. But Miami is only a pit stop for mom, dad and me because we are taking a Cruise to Key West and Cozumel....I can't wait. It will be fun. When we get back to Miami on the 1st, I get to see and meet a celebrity!!!! Wooo ME!!! I was sadden last week due to my uncle's passing(thanks for the e-card, that cheered me up some) but Cozette, a person that works for Ami James at Miami Ink, emailed me to tell me Ami will be in oh man!! Well it didn't turn out too bad, because of some quick thinking on my part asked about the other tattoo artists there, and I was soo excited to get an email from Darren Brass. who was my 2nd choice, if Ami couldn't....well I was glad to hear he can do my tattoo for me. It's going to be awesome. I'm totally pleased that even though my cruise trip was suppose to be a mother-daughter thing with my mom, is now going to be extra special because my dad is going....the tattoo I'm getting involves my dad anyway, so I'm glad he's going to be able to see what I'm having done....he knows that I'm having something incorperated into my tattoo that involves him, but I've changed my whole tattoo from the orginal way I had told my dad. He has no clue that the tattoo focuses more on him as the main subject and not just a little part. Any way, I can't give to much away. It's a surprise...just like you being my Secret Sister. :) And trust me, I'm trying to find out. LOL
So today I had some time and you were soo awesome in sending me a recipe, that I've looked for on for, I decided to make the recipe and share with you what I did in my kitchen. So I hope you don't mind I'm sharing this blog in thanks to you for your lovingly passing me a very good treat. My kids and the neighbor kids enjoyed after school. Even though I goofed twice. Once when overly spraying my non-stick brownie pan...opps! And twice when pulling the brownies out of the oven, just a weee bit too early, but they were ooey and gooey and the kids didn't care. They all loved them. So here's thanks.

Secret Sister's Mini-Chip Brownies
3/4 cup margarine(softened)
1-1/2 cup light brown sugar(packed)
2 eggs
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour(unsifted)
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups Hershey's mini-chocolate chips
Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy in a large mixing bowl. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla. Beat well. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; add to creamed mixture. Stir in chips. Spread in a 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool completely. Cut into bars.

OK, so I used the the Better Brownie Pan system, it works really well. I used it to make Jelly Bean Bark around Easter time....Oh was that's soo easy to do.

See don't this look good, I love this pan!!! Ohhh OPPS!!! there's a piece missing, ya wasn't suppose to see that...HEHEHEE!! Shame on me.
Mmmmm!!! Don't these look soo good!!!
I used's Chocolate Marshmallow Frosting(< ) on a few of the brownies...the kids just goobled them up, then I sent them outside to run it off.
Thank you so much for your kind emails and thank you for sharing a wonderful recipe.

Secret Sister is an exchange. What we did was sign up with a little bit of informaiton about ourselves and I collected all of the names and then sent them someone elses name, it's a secret as to who it is. Some of the girls have gotten a bit clever and send packages all over the USA with postage on it and have someone else send it so they will never know. The program runs for one year and during that year we send each other little notes of encouragement and simple hellos a smile in the mail or the email. Birthday, anniversary cards and perhaps a little gift. At the end of the year we get to find out who had who! We just started for this year but you never know what will happen so if something happens to someone we may be able to fit you in but if not we will have to wait until next year and then of course you are welcome.

About Me
I'm an active mom of 4 and married the love of my life. I'm a full~time certified care giver, part~time food blogger @ , avid & obsessed novice photographer. I love allrecipes and pretty much an addict. I'm also a new member to Banana Belt Photography Club that's local to my community, and an Allrecipes Allstar Brand Ambassador. And have stamped allrecipes on me for life. The site has opened up my eyes to so much more then just recipes. I'm proud to be a member of this site and my love, passion & learning other recipes from other valued members has really broaden my horizens.
My favorite things to cook
Asian, Mexican, Multi-cultured foods, Low-fat, Low-sugar, Stews, casseroles, slow cooker meals and baking......Everything!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Funny but true: Cooking traditions men sit in the recliner and women in the My family is always in the kitchen. My sister and her family, my parents and my family celebrate Christmas in January. Due to distance and work related jobs. Every year we plan what we are having ahead of time. Our tradition is usually food we've had abroad growing up overseas. Normally with Asia influences. It's always a special treat when we normally don't make the dishes often throughout the year.
My cooking triumphs
Unknown to me when I came up with a chicken and dumpling recipe of my own, my father was floored & delighted and told me it tasted just like his mother's.......My mom dropped her jaw because it was better then her's. It's a staple with my husband and kids.
My cooking tragedies
I had found a recipe for a Pretzel Pie(like Pecan Pie), thought it looked good and I didn't follow the recipe when it said unsalted pretzels. I just grabbed the normal stuff with the salt on it, made the pie, and my dad and husband were painting with thrist. And making weird pickle sour expressions, when I realized the pie was over salted. Oopppss! I never made it again.
