Scrumptious Chicken Vegetable Stew

Reviewed: May 5, 2007
This is an easy and delicious recipe. The first time I made it, it was tasty, but the chicken was over done and the lentils weren't done enough. The second time I made this dish, I cooked the lentils and chicken before hand. When I got ready to eat it, I just heated up a bowl for myself and froze the rest. That did the trick. It was perfect.

Cream Cheese Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2011
I have been using a modified version of this recipe for years. I triple the sour cream layer and half the cream cheese layer cook as directed in a Keebler shortbread cookie crust. Drizzle chocolate sauce on top for a pie that is to die for. I love Marie Calendar's sour cream pie; this one is just as good.

Amazing Pecan Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
This cake was a huge hit! I followed the recipe exactly. I made this in a non-stick bundt pan that I generously sprayed with Pam. I put half of the topping in the bottom of the pan and half in the middle of the cake. It looked a good as it tasted. I will probably increase the topping to 1.5 next time.

Chewy No Bake Granola Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2013
Yummy! I microwaved the wet ingredients in a glass bowl for 1.5 minutes instead of melting them over the stove and them poured it over the dry stuff. That worked well and made clean up a little easier too. I didn't have any dried fruit or almonds. I used pecans as for the nuts. Next time, I'll try this with cut up strawberry banana fruit roll ups. Oh, and I lined my pan with parchment paper. The granola is so much easier to deal with that way.

Crab-Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2011
I found this recipe in a magazine years ago, made it once, then promptly lost the recipe. I am so happy to have found it again. I did make a few changes that make this dish all the tastier. I used real lump crab and shrimp, cream cheese instead of mayo, and I added panko bread crumbs and broiled for a couple of minutes at the end. Yummy, yummy, yummy! Thank you so much for sharing.

Juicy Thanksgiving Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
This is the third year that I made this turkey for Thanksgiving and the first year I made it in my roaster (I have uploaded a picture). I get rave reviews on this turkey every time. The roaster worked out great. Mine turkey came out fall off the bone juicy in the roaster even though I didn't cover it in foil or place it in a baking bag. This is my go to turkey recipe for life!

White Bean and Lamb Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2012
This is one of the first recipes that I tried from Allrecipes. I've been making this in my slow cooker for years. It's a friends and family favorite. I use canned great northern beans, cubed lamb shoulder, and I add raw baby spinach to the bowl before serving. My dad and boyfriend asked me to double the meat and bean content next time. I will report back with those results.
