No Sugar Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2015
I have been making these cookies for awhile now. I always add something different to change them up. I just made a batch and I just had to share what I did. I eliminated the raisins, I added 1 cup of toasted coconut flakes and some tiny dark chocolate chips. I also added 1 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg. So good....just right for a little something sweet when your trying so hard to still eat healthy!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2012
Yes, there are so many ways to make meatloaf. I have to say, love this one. Everyone always ask for the recipe. It's so easy, has just the right ingredients. I too put the ketchup and brown sugar on top while cooking. I also add fresh ginger, about 1 Tbl, instead of dry ground. Thank you for the great recipe. :)

Classic Goulash

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2011
I carmalize the elbow noodles first in a little oil, it gives it a richer nutty flavor. Try it with different seasoning. I use 2 Tbl. of chili powder instead of Italian & soy sauce. I also use V-8 insead of tomato sauce (sneak in some veggies). I also use my canned crushed tomatoes of store bought. This is a great dish that everyone loves and very cheap to make. Thank you for sharing this "classic" Goulash dish :)

Bottom Round Roast with Onion Gravy

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
I never made a roast on top of the stove. And, at my surprise, it was great. I did braise my roast in olive oil first, then added onion and fresh garlic. I used balsamic vinegar witch i love with beef. I added the roast on top of onions then added fresh rosemary & tyme. I also made gravy out of the onion stock. Very very good. I would of had leftovers, but my husband loved it so much he over eat.

Very good! I shredded pre-boiled potatoes, cooked the spinach then cooled it. In the sour cream, I added, ground red pepper, tablespoon dill, graded 1/2 onion, granulated garlic. Mixed everything together. I think this is a keeper. Great blend of flavors. My whole family loved it! It would also make a great pot luck. Thank you Sally for the recipe.

Grandma's Polish Perogies

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
Excellent-I made these today for Easter week-end. I have never made Pierogi's before. My husband is Polish and loves them. I made my filling with instant mashed potatoes (much faster) boiled all milk no water, added granulated garlic, 2 bayleaves, salt, pepper, about T. of course ground mustard (excellent in all mashed potatoes), 4 T. butter, let small boil 5 min. take out bayleaves-add 1 8oz. shredded cheese (colby, or cheddar) then potatoe buds until pudding like, dont add too much or it will set too stiff. The dough was really nice to work with. A little work, but, trust me well worth the effort. And to the English teacher (DrSz) that said his rude comment about Pierogi being spelled wrong, some times people make mistakes, it could be a typing error or allrecipe error. That is just rude and uncalled for. Anyway, I did a trial taste, MMMMMMM Good

Mini Ham, Swiss, Rye Sandwiches with Cranberry Onion Relish

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
Fantastic recipe!!!! I was searching for a great mini sandwich idea to make for my parents 50th anniversary party. I have to tell you, big big hit. The relish really makes this, I used about 4 Tablespoons of rosemary and red onion. Instead of using mini bread, I used whole loaf pumpernickel and cut them in 1/4. Every time I looked at my dad, he was eating another sandwich. I can't say enough about this recipe. Thank you so much!!!!!!! oh by the way, I wish I would of taken a picture so I could summit it.

I used peach schnapps instead of the brandy. I also used Korbel brut champagne, it was perfect because it's not sweet. Their were people drinking that never drinks. I had alot of people asking for the recipe. Thanks so much...

Grilled Teriyaki Tuna

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
I have been going thru my recipe box and realized I never rated this. I made this at least once a week back in the summer time. It is alsome on top of a salad or on the side with couscous. I will be making this again and again. You only need to cook tuna for 3 min. on each side on very hot grill. yum yum!!! Too bad tuna has gotten so expensive.
