Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
Flavor was nice but it was very salty - I even used reduced sodium soy sauce.

Spinach Basil Pesto

It was good - has nice earthy tones to it. Froze it in an ice cube tray like other reviewers suggested.

Rich Pasta for the Poor Kitchen

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2011
Made it as a quick side dish. Saved time by just adding all ingredients to hot pot that I cooked the pasta in and poured the hot pasta back in. Subbed red pepper flakes for cayenne pepper.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
Great base! Alone it would have been too bland but I added carrots, celery, dried parsley, black pepper and garlic powder. I also used low sodium chicken broth instead of water. Allow at least 90 minutes for dumplings to cook.

Aunt Anne's Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2010
Taste was fine but the cake was dry, dense and flat. Topping was crispy not crumbly. Maybe cooking it in a smaller pan might help.

So delicious and so easy. Followed cyndib's advice and cooked it all in one pot. Added some paprika, black pepper and garlic for my personal tastes. Sour cream a must!

Interesting yet delicate. Squash needs to cook a little longer but other than that easily tweaked.

Ten Minute Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2010
Followed the recipe exactly and ended up with chili powder flavored oil. Tried to save it by adding a tomato base but in the end had to throw it out.

Creamy - cheesy - I added 3/4 cup of milk to make it a little less custard like and moist enough to reheat

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

It sounded so good but all I got was uncooked oily cauliflower. I even doctored it up and cooked it longer but it just did not do it for me.
