Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
Awesome soup! I made this 2 weeks ago for my kids who had been coughing and hacking with thier sniffly, runny noses. They both gobbled it up! I was amazed seeing as to how picky they both are. Although they didn't eat as much of the chicken and veggies as I would've liked, they downed the broth like it was juice! My husband and I really liked it too! Great flavor and so easy to make! The only things I did differently were, I used a 2 lb pkg of boneless, skinless, chicken breast halves (that's all I had onhand), added a bit more chicken bouillon granules (to taste) and used medium egg noodles. This recipe is definitely a keeper!

Toscana Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
This soup was both easy and DELICIOUS! I used Johnsonville mild ground Italian sausage instead of the links and everyone thought it was great! My picky 11 year old gobbled it up (except for the kale which I made her try) and my even more picky 5 year old ate the broth (he was not having the sausage, potatoes or kale - which I made him try as well)! For those of you with super picky kids, you can understand that this was a giant leap/victory in the quest to get my kids to eat a variety of foods. So thank you, Ken Miller, for this awesome recipe!

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
Made this as a full on cake recipe just yesterday and threw it out. I'm a baker/cake decorator and thought to use a new recipe to see how it would turn out. It's ok as a starter recipe, but definitely needs a lot more tweeking before I can honeslty call it "Delicious!". It was a bit blah/imitation tasting and lacked that genuine red velvety goodness (those who have actually had a fabulous red velvet cake know what I mean). I would have to agree with another reviewer who said that the boxed red velvet cake mix is much better than this one. :(

Turkey Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
This recipe was both easy and delicious! In place of the onions, green beans and mushroom soup, I just used the left over green bean casserole I had in the fridge (being that those are all ingredients found in it anyway). I also used Mild and Sharp Cheddar as well as Colby Jack cheeses - delicious! Although I didn't try it this time, the next time I have it, I'm going to pour my left over turkey gravy on top and see how that tastes! This recipe is definitely a keeper!

Holiday Left-Over Sweet Potato Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
DELICIOUS! I made the following modifications: decreased the sugar to 1/2 + 1/8 cup due to the fact that my sweet potato casserole already had sugar in it and in the topping which consisted of pecans, brown sugar, butter and cornflakes. Then I used orange juice in place of the beer. When it was done baking (about 35 minutes), I made a glaze using milk and confectioner's (aka powdered) sugar and poured it on top - Oh my taste buds was it GOOD! My husband even ate it and he doesn't normally like anything with sweet potatoes in it! I will definitely be using this recipe year after year! Shared it on facebook too!

Sweet Potato Bread I

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2011
I really liked this bread! It's so yummy and super easy to make! The only thing I'll do differently next time is cut down on the sugar (just a bit) and the nutmeg (not a huge fan). I highly recommend baking this and seeing for yourself. I'll be baking more to give this year as holiday gifts!

DELICIOUS! I literally had to force myself to stop eating this bread! I made a few loaves to send to friends overseas. I know they're gonna love it! This is one recipe I'm adding to my holiday baking list. :)

Best Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2011
I made this recipe just about an hour ago since my husband is a big fan of bread pudding. It turned out AMAZINGLY GREAT!!! I followed the recipe exactly except I omitted the raisins - not a fan - and I used a 1 lb loaf of Italian bread. DELICIOUS! Thanks for this recipe!

Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2011
This is a great recipe considering that there are no eggs or milk in it! It is a bit drier than traditional banana bread, but that just makes it more like a sweet type of bread. It's good and I'll definitely make it again!

Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
I'm more of a 2-3 steps and you're done cooking type of girl, but one morning I really wanted some cinnamon rolls so I printed this recipe and got to work. Let me just tell you that this recipe is a keeper! It's a little more effort than I want to put into a cinnamon roll, but WELL WORTH IT! I see myself making these again and again and again. Thanks for sharing!

Fried Rice I

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
This recipe is so quick, easy and tasty, I don't see how anyone can rate it anything less than a 5! I didn't know what to cook one evening for dinner so I decided to search All Recipes and found this one. It turned out great even without the peas and green onions (which I didn't have on hand). I'll definitely be making this again! Thanks for sharing!

Aunt Carol's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
DELICIOUS APPLE PIE - the best! I made this pie the other day because I had some apples lying around that were going to go bad real soon. It was a mix of Gala and Granny Smith apples. Well, I made this recipe and WOW! The pie was amazing! It tastes even better with the Basic Flaky Pie Crust recipe submitted by Stephanie that is found on this site. Try it! You'll love it!

French Crepes

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
We ususally have crepes every Christmas morning. That's our tradition. But since living here in Europe, we eat crepes more often than once per year because they're found everywhere! Plus we're only 30 minutes from France so crepes are easily accessible. Well, I wanted to get that same taste at home so I searched for a crepe recipe and low and behold, this is the one that tastes most like authentic French crepes than any other recipe I've tried before and my kids LOVE it! It's super easy and super delicious! I highly recommend it!

Easy Broccoli Quiche

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
This is one of my favorite quiche recipes because it's so easy and so darn tasty! I get compliments everytime I make it. Even my husband liked it and he's not a quiche fan at all. Oh and it's even tastier when you use the Basic Flaky Pie Crust submitted by Stephanie found on this website - YUM!
