Easy Pleasy Mac N Cheesy - US Navy Style

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2012
Easy and good. This makes a great "base" macaroni and cheese. Don't change a thing for the kids or picky eaters - add whatever you'd like for the more adventurous types. This is a keeper.

Slow Cooker Beef and Mushroom Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2011
I didn't have pearl onions so I quartered half of a yellow onion. Also I cooked on high for 5 hrs, not low for 11. Easy, delicious, and everything came out very tender.

Green Beans and Potatoes

Good and easy. I used 2C. chicken broth instead of the vegetable broth. I threw in some chopped onions. Added extra corn starch to make broth thicker as well as some Mrs. Dash at the end for an extra kick. At 420 calories (by my estimates) and no oil ... this one's a keeper.

Sugar Coated Pecans

Easy to make. Use plastic bags to cut down on the mess. I've never had a problem with clumping. Are you sure you're turning the pecans every 15 minutes?

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2008
Fall off the bone tender. Great and easy recipe for weekday meal. Some say it's bland - I say add any seasoning you want. The recipe is a good base recipe that anyone can modify to suit their tastes. If you want to present a nice-looking, whole chicken at the dinner table, though, you might want to find another recipe. With care, however, you can remove it piece by piece...breast, wings, thighs, legs. Getting it out whole without falling apart is something I have yet been able to do.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2008
OK. It's probably very close to what's served across the pond. I've always found British food bland. This is no exception. I modified the recipe as suggested with brown gravy mix and Worcestershire sauce. Giving it 4 stars because my disappointment with the recipe is simply a matter of personal taste.

David's Yellow Cake

Dry. I agree with the previous users who compare this cake's consistency with corn bread.

Corn Chip Crunch

Good. Easy to make. Definitely tastes a LOT better after it's cooled completely. Brought to a pot luck/party at work. Most said it was good. A few raved and asked for the recipe.
