Filet Mignon with Bacon Cream Sauce

This recipe has good instructions for preparing filet mignon, which was helpful as I couldn't remember exactly how to cook it. The sauce was okay, but rather bland and needed something more. Since it's made of basically bacon grease, butter and cream, you may be better off going for a more flavorful and healthy recipe.

Skillet Bow Tie Lasagna

Very good and an easy alternative to lasagna. I use broken up lasagna noodles so it looks more like lasagne. **Also, it needed a little more water since it dried up at the end, so I'd add 1/2 cup more.

Homemade Marshmallows I

These are good, but a little foamy and not as fluffy as you might want. They stay very moist. However, very quick and easy, and still with the marshmallow taste.

Cranberry Salad III

This is a wonderful recipe. It's deliciously sweet and a bit crunchy with lots of yummy fruit. One important note, it says refrigerate "until chilled," which I tried, refrigerating it for about two hours. When it was time to bring it to my potluck, it was not at all solidified so I had to grab a can of cranberries to bring instead! It really needs about FOUR hours of chilling to solidify, especially with all the stuff in it. Just important to know in order to plan ahead.

Garlic Red Potatoes

My first experience making this recipe was not a good one, since the cooking temperature and time were way underestimated, not sure where that came from. I'd say 375 for 45 - 60 minutes. Also, 2 lbs of cut up potatoes do not fit in an 8x8 dish without being piled up, so I had to go the next size up, I believe 11x8. This really threw off our dinner plans as we kept waiting for them to be done. Also, the potatoes had a pretty good flavor, but they needed some herbs, maybe a tbsp of either thyme or Italian seasoning. I think I'll just forget it and find another recipe!

Mari's Chicken and Pasta

Although the flavor was pretty good, the brothy sauce didn't stay on the pasta, just pooled on the plate, and the veggies didn't stay on the pasta because of the thin sauce. This made it seem like having plain pasta.
