Traditional Muhammara (Syrian Hot Pepper Dip)

Yum! I hate to be one of those substituters but out of necessity I had to be one. I was trying to use up some ingredients and some I didn't have on hand. I frozen mixed bell peppers and sauteed them and used some bread crumbs from french bread I had made and used grenadine in place of pomegranate molasses. Sorry for all that inauthenticness. Even so, I did own everything else and I could eat this with a spoon! Thanks for giving me a recipe using sumac James!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are fab. I made a 1/2 batch since I was in a hurry. I made giant cookies. 1/2 cup of the dough. i slightly flattened them and put a slight dent in the center so it would cook evenly. baked at 375 for 13-14 minutes. yum.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

This recipe has gotten me to stop winging chili. It will be my go to recipe from here. Excellent flavor, nice hit of hear without losing the taste buds in the process. So glad a friend told me about it.

Pork Tenderloin alla Napoli

I made this for my parents, mom is still raving about it. I finally got to use my mega cast iron pan. Do remember that when it comes out of the oven, it too is 400* and don't touch it without a mitt. I did make extra sauce as suggested.

Irene's Barbeque Sauce

I loved that this recipe made a sane amount of sauce and I don't need a 2nd fridge to store the unused portion. I had everything on hand which made it my chosen recipe for tonight's dinner. I altered the technique not the ingredients a bit. I pureed the onions and sauteed that mix in the oil and then dumped all the ingredients together and simmered. Looking forward to it on my chicken...it was good on my finger so it must be good on chicken, right?

Homemade Manti (Traditional Turkish Dumplings)

I just prepped the manti and it went smoothly. One HINT that i will suggest that worked quite well is that I used my pasta machine to roll out the dough. It was the easiest way to get the dough quite thin. The flavors are so great. I did happen to have some sumac so I topped it off with that as seen in one of the reviews. will make again and even for company.

This is the recipe I've also had and it is so easy. The results are great. I've filled mine with nutella, honey cinnamon & walnuts, apricot preserves. That is 3 separate batches not all on one! Get creative, but keep the filling thin or it will ooze and stick. Glad I have an easy place to find this now, instead of digging through my index card recipes!

Roasted Red Pepper Cream Sauce

This was so delicious. I put it on tortellini. Big hit with all of us. Then since it made a ton I used it as a dipping sauce for an eggplant/spinach/tomato, fresh mozzarella/tapenade panini. oh my!

Mom's Pretzels

This was great. I cut the recipe in 1/2, made 6 of the cutest pretzels! I sprinkled them with salt and sesame seeds and after they baked I brushed them with melted butter. Served it with a beer and gouda soup recipe I found on this site. yummy. :)

I made this for a friend's birthday celebration and was a bit nervous since she is from Chile and I've never had this before. She made my day by raving about it! I used a homemade sweetened condensed milk recipe from this site and cooked it in a sauce pan until caramelized. That was my only tweak. I will definitely make this again!
