I decided to take the leap and grow my own broccoli and mung bean sprouts. The price of sprouts and micro-greens is quite costly in the grocery store and I have been eating them on a weekly basis. Due to my limited lighting situation I figured that at this time I will only be able to grow the… MORE

About this Cook
Girl who has extensively traveled and loves to try new international food. I am located in the great state of Texas. I am big foodie who cooks all natural healthy stuff. No artificial flavoring for me.
My favorite things to cook
Chinese and Japaneses. I stayed three summers in Hong Kong. Also if it has duck in it my name is on it. Lol. I love duck.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother makes a mean pecan pie with a crust to die for and brioche bread to die for. I am learning how to master these two dishes as you have to go on feel to know when the bread is kneaded enough and when the crust is ready.
My cooking triumphs
Today I was experimenting with some bok choy, chow mien noodles, spinach, ect. Just some stuff that I had on hand and boy the dish came out good. I submitted it to the site.
My cooking tragedies
Cooked ground turkey. One time it came out mushy and pink. The meat was obviously not fresh! I threw the dish away.

Bulgur Wheat with Dried Cranberries
This recipe tasted just "ok" to me. Probably won't be making it in the future without some major changes.

Venison Stew I
This recipe was very good but for me needed something extra. Going to play around with it till I get it to where I like it.

Sweet and Spicy Green Beans
These were good. I did not have garlic chili sauce so I substituted Louisiana Gold Hot Sauce with some added minced garlic. I will definably be making this again for dinner.
