I decided to take the leap and grow my own broccoli and mung bean sprouts. The price of sprouts and micro-greens is quite costly in the grocery store and I have been eating them on a weekly basis. Due to my limited lighting situation I figured that at this time I will only be able to grow the… MORE

Thanks to Mike Harvey for the great suggestion to make Eggplant pizza. I will make enough so that I can freeze a pizza for family members to take to work. My pizza dough just finished in the bread machine. Pics to follow once the pizza is done cooking. Anyone else have any other eggplant… MORE

Well folks it is eggplant season and I need some inspiration. Does anyone have any good eggplant recipes that they would be willing to share from here or otherwise. I would prefer recipes that are not casseroles (not my sister's favorite). I for the first time ever planted two small white… MORE

During the summer we are overrun with produce and this year is no exception. We have a multitude of zucchini, squash, eggplants, peppers, and tomatoes in our vegetable garden. Plus every year we get my cousin's surplus. He grows enough to feed an entire army. You will never go hungry at his… MORE

So after much allrecipes searching and scanning my cookbook I have found what I will be cooking for the upcoming week. Most of my recipes are from allrecipes but where a recipe is not from the website it can be found in the complete Armenian cookbook. My first recipe on the list I will be… MORE

This is my first foray into blogging about food. I was raised as a child by parents who ate almost everything and put it on the dinner table as well. One night we would have Indian curry at the table and the next night South African Bobotie ( we lived there for a number of years) would be on… MORE

About Me
Girl who has extensively traveled and loves to try new international food. I am located in the great state of Texas. I am big foodie who cooks all natural healthy stuff. No artificial flavoring for me.
My favorite things to cook
Chinese and Japaneses. I stayed three summers in Hong Kong. Also if it has duck in it my name is on it. Lol. I love duck.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother makes a mean pecan pie with a crust to die for and brioche bread to die for. I am learning how to master these two dishes as you have to go on feel to know when the bread is kneaded enough and when the crust is ready.
My cooking triumphs
Today I was experimenting with some bok choy, chow mien noodles, spinach, ect. Just some stuff that I had on hand and boy the dish came out good. I submitted it to the site.
My cooking tragedies
Cooked ground turkey. One time it came out mushy and pink. The meat was obviously not fresh! I threw the dish away.
