About this Cook
I am a newlywed (8 months) and I really enjoy trying out new recipes with my husband! We just relocated from Southern CA to upstate NY and are looking forward to putting down some roots and starting our family.
My favorite things to cook
Anything that isn't too complicated to make and tastes good! I don't eat red meat, though, so I am always scouring recipes for unique chicken and pork dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I used to help my grandmother bake bread, rolls, cookies and pies. She was a fabulous cook and I unfortunately lost her before I got to learn a lot from her. I can make a killer turkey dinner thanks to her and the women in my family who have carried on the tradition of cooking.
My cooking triumphs
Any time my husband devours a meal that I've made and then asks me to make it again!

Artichoke Chicken
Liked this original recipe but it was a bit I took the advice of previous posters and switched to 1/2 mayo and 1/2 sour cream. I also use marinated artichokes that I squeeze to get most of the juice out. Then I add chopped roasted red peppers to the mix as well. Just before the dish is finished I top it with shredded mozzarella and bake until it's browned. husband asks for it again within days!
