Marinated Pork Loin

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
This turned out great! I was looking for a different marinade, and I just happened to have all the ingredients for this. I did marinate it for three days but that was not planned, however the pork turned out tender and delicious! Thanks!!

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
I'm not sure what I did wrong, but the adobo turned out too potent....I think next time I will add some water to make sure everything is covered and that it won't be so strong

Aunt Lillian's Crumb Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
Awesome crumb cake!! I used the topping suggestion of Naples34102 since my husband does not like nuts or coconut and it seemed a little easier. Also since I live in a high altitude (8,000 above sea level), I think I need to tweak it a little - the cake came out a little dense in the middle and normal on the outer parts- but overall it tasted DELICIOUS!

The World's Best Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
I gave this recipe a three star rating because I am unsure how it would have turned out if things would have worked out right. I had over a 20 lb turkey and so I thought I would need to double the time (from 3 hours to 6). Well, it was cooked in 3 hours, which was three hours earlier than I had planned. I might try this again for Christmas unless I decide to cook duck instead! :) It sure sounded like it would have been great...

Soft Garlic Breadsticks

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
This was a good recipe. The first time I made them, they did not have enough garlic, so I am attempting it again. I had to do this the old fashion way since I don't have a bread machine and I followed the suggestions of some of the others. I mixed the sugar, yeast, and water. Then mixed together the other ingredients except I added ALOT of garlic powder, some minced garlic, and then some garlic salt. I ommited the salt since I added garlic salt. I then added the flour and kneaded it for about 5 minutes. I let it rise until twice the size and then rolled the sticks. I then let it rise for another 30 minutes before baking.

Broiled Grouper Parmesan

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
This was awesome!! I've never cooked Grouper before, but this was easy and delicious. Even the family members who didn't like fish loved this dish. The only problem I had was the timing. It took about 10 minutes to cook and then I had to flip the fish and cooked an additional 3 minutes before adding the parm sauce. It was probably because these were really thick fillets. Either way, this recipe is definitely a keeper! Thanks for posting!

Easy Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
The taste of these were good. I took the advice of everyone and change the baking powder to 2 teaspoons and the salt to 1/2 teaspoons. I changed the oil to 3 tablesppons oil, and I added 2 teaspoons lemon juice and 1/2 vanilla. After mixing the batter, it was very watery, but I put a batch on the griddle anyway. This batch was VERY flat...but they tasted good. So I added more flour to see if they would fluff up....they turned out still very flat - they almost look like crepes. For the most part...TASTE GOOD, BUT VERY FLAT and not fluffy.

Artichoke Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2008
This is a great recipe. I took the advice of some of the others, and did the following: We added garlic to the butter before adding the veggies; we used half the cream cheese and half sour cream. Unfortunately, we didn't have an entire cup of Parm (we only had about 1/4 to 1/3), but it still turned out great! I can imagine how much better it would have been if we had the entire cup of Parm!!

Christmas Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2008
This is a great recipe. It did come out a bit soggier than my husband likes, but I will try the suggestions next time (less milk, more eggs). Either way, it was super tasty! I did use yellow mustard instead of dry since I didn't any on hand.

Cloverleaf Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2008
This was an okay recipe for me. I was looking for a cloverleaf roll recipe that was similar to the one I have in my recipe book (which is currently in storage). The rolls came out drier than what I was expecting, and it did not have that "melt in your mouth" effect that I had with my other recipe. If I hadn't known how good cloverleaf rolls COULD be, I might have rated this higher. I tried this recipe twice just to make sure. More than likely, I will not use this one again.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2008
This was awesome - A big hit! Modified the recipe a little per some of the feedback received: doubled the recipe and added an extra tablespoon of Sugar; 2 T of Apple Cider Vinegar; 1 T Worshire sauce; dash of steak dust (I was looking for some Hickory Mesquite flavoring but didnt' have any); and extra water to simmer with. It was awesome! Definitely a keeper.

Original Nestle® Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2008
This is the way MY FAMILY LOVES their cookies. I read some of the reviews where they say that the cookies are too flat, but I think those are the best kinds. My family even perfers to have this WITHOUT the chocolate chips! This is a great recipe! Wouldn't change a thing.

Italian Style Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
This was a good recipe. I took the advice of some of the reviewers and cut the recipe in half. This still left a LOT left over so next time I will do a third of the recipe. I also sprayed the bottom of the pan before cooking which definitely was helpful. It is definitely a tasty recipe

Almond Biscotti

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
This is a awesome recipe. This is the second recipe I tried for making Biscotti, and EVERYONE loved it. I used 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract instead of the anise, and I also added a touch of cinnamon. In addition, I also dipped it in vanilla glaze. This caused the cookies to soften up a little (I think because I didn't let it cool COMPLETELY), but the majority of the house perfers it that way anyway. 03/09/2010: After making these NUMEROUS times, I decided I like the ORIGINAL way it is presented with the exception of increasing the sugar to 1 1/4 in the batter (discovered this by accident), and adding Chocolate chips. These are ALWAYS a hit!!!!

Biscotti

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2008
This was a good recipe. It was my first attempt to making Biscotti. I think next time I might make a "glaze" for it or drizzle it with something. It was good, but I felt like it was missing something. It is definitely a recipe that you can "work" with! Thanks for posting!

Fast and Friendly Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2008
ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS!! This turned out to be such a hit in the house. I also added the parm (lots), garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper. After the directed cooking time, I transferred to pan with oil to brown - I should have done this first, but I didn't know that it wouldn't brown the oven. My family loved it - definitely a keeper!

Eileen's Spicy Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2008
This was the first Gingerbread cookie recipe I've ever done. I was expecting a "hard" cookie, and this turned out to be quite soft. I also wasn't expecting it to be so "spicy". I personally did not like the cookie, but my friends and family said that they did so that's why it's getting a 4-start. Maybe next time I will cook it longer at a lower temp and cut the clove in half...let ya know!
