Kelli's Fried Green Zucchini

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2014
In response to GJones4796 I would like to say that the articles referenced are really articles like a lot of stuff on the internet. If you are going to rate a recipe with 1 star just to slam it when you haven't tried it then you shouldn't be allowed on the site. This is absolutely delicious. They really don't need the cheese and tomato sauce but they are good both ways.

Three Packet Slow Cooker Roast

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2014
I was hoping this would be great but I've never been a fan of gravy packets and this didn't improve my opinion. Family didn't care for the ranch either. I'll try some variations and see how they turn out.

Very Best Blueberry Cobbler!

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2014
This is absolutely delicious!! Very easy to make. I did double the blueberries and flour in the blueberries and I put some lemon zest in it too. I baked it in a 9x13" cake pan for 40 minutes. Everything else was perfect including the vanilla. There's no way that changed the wonderful taste of the blueberries and believe me, we eat a lot of blueberries. I couldn't believe some of the nasty comments. Wow! Terrific recipe!! Thanks for posting!

Kielbasa and Cabbage

Reviewed: May 23, 2014
I totally enjoyed this recipe and made it as written except for the sugar. I put 2 teaspoons of Splenda in and that was too much so I think I'll leave it out next time because there will definitely be next times. There is enough natural sugar in cabbage for me. I also only had a medium sized head of cabbage which made it meatier and I loved it. Loved both the caraway and the red pepper flakes. They gave it an extra great flavor. I used to make cabbage with bacon and no kielbasa and eat it over noodles. I'll be trying this over noodles next. Delicious and thanks for the recipe! By the way, in my opinion, if you don't try the recipe then you shouldn't rate it.

Cuban Midnight Sandwich

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2013
Didn't care for the turkey, mayo or Italian dressing on this sandwich and never saw it on a Cuban menu with 2 words instead of one 'medianoche'. I'll go back to just mustard and get rid of the turkey and put in the pork like it's supposed to be.

Mustard Oil Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2013
Made this as posted and ended up doctoring it to suit our tastes. It was really sour so I added some more olive oil and some honey. I also added some minced garlic because I like to taste the garlic in mine. The flavors are now blending in the frig and I'm hoping it tastes great for my salad that I'm having with a grilled rib eye for the 4th.

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2013
This is delicious!! I did add some sauteed onions (1/4 cup) and some garlic powder and used just enough fresh parmesan to cover the top (probably about 1/2 cup) because I have to watch salt intake. I used all the other ingredients as listed. I took it to a prayer brunch and everyone loved it. I'll keep this in my often used recipes because it doesn't have egg and you can eat it any time. I think it would be good with burgers or hotdogs and baked beans!! Thanks for the recipe POOBOO!!

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2012
This is a very basic recipe for oreo truffles. It's good but we found we liked the vanilla almond bark for dipping and then drizzled with melted semi-sweet chocolate chips. I also weigh the oreos before making them crumbs to a full 18 oz. which is what the oreos used to weigh before it went to 15.5 oz. They come out perfect but they have to be refrigerated. My family likes them right out of the freezer. They never get real hard and they keep very fresh in a ziplock freezer bag. I've seen them done with yellow, green and chocolate bark on lollipop sticks and drizzled with white chocolate for a baby shower. They were absolutely adorable! Have fun with them!!

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2012
I make garlic mashed potatoes all the time because they are requested from me but this just doesn't come out right for me at all. I don't know what it is but I tried doing it exactly the first time and no dice!! Sorry!! I did try this with roasted garlic and it's much better and I also put sliced garlic in with the potatoes to cook and it was much better. As far as the butter going in first, I always melt my butter in the milk and add it together and it turns out every time.

Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2012
This is how I've always made my macaroni and cheese except for the onion. Tried it with it for a change and nobody really cared for it. I'll keep making it without the onion. It's also very good with a thin layer of cheese on top to get brown. My kids and now my grandkids fight over the brown part along with my hubby.

Creamy Linguine with Zucchini

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2012
Wonderful way to use excess zucchini which I love!! Made 1/2 as stated and the other 1/2 substituting homemade alfredo sauce and no cheddar. It was good as stated but delish with subs. I still gave it 5 stars because I would never have thought to add zucchini. Thanks for the recipe!

Emily's Famous Hash Browns

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
Thank you for this great recipe! I just got done making them and they are delicious! I'm afraid that all I had was large fresh potatoes, so I have enough for tomorrow's Sunday morning breakfast also. Just enough egg and flour to hold them together and you get the wonderful taste of the potato. I did add the salt and pepper in the mix before cooking but that's all I did different. Wonderful!!

Stuffed Zucchini

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2012
This is delish as written! Thanks LTHASKINS!! I don't know why people write things in their reviews that they can't possibly know if they don't make it as written. If they want to use this recipe as a base and come up with a new one, post it as a different recipe. You DO NOT need to brown the meat first and you should know not to use a very large zucchini and expect it to cook in 45 minutes without precooking it some. It was also delicious with regular sausage and good mozzarella! Everybody loved it.

Egg Breakfast Pizza

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2012
Great idea but didn't like the cream of celery soup. I also didn't care for store bought bacon bits so I used real bacon the second time with just some cream in the eggs that I precooked some before putting on crust. I also tried it with the whole eggs and increased the temp some like Toasty Mama recommended and it was really delicious!! Yum! Thanks for posting! A great recipe to play around with. I'm going to try some mushrooms too.

Calico Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2012
This is a good recipe but to me it's better with some ground sausage in it too. I have made this for years and years. I use equal amount of bacon, lean ground beef and lean sausage. I don't use vinegar and after trying it, I'll be taking it out. It was too sweet so I'll cut way back on the sugar and I like to add some molasses.
