In early 2007, my family was ready for a change. Time to be conscious of what we were eating - for health and money reasons. Instead of take-out or ordering delivery, we started really paying attention to what we were eating. We're also concerned about the health effects of highly processed foods and high fructose corn syrup, so have been exploring more healthy alternatives.
My favorite things to cook
I like things quick and easy. I don't have a lot of patience to stand around for hours "slaving over a hot stove." But I also want things healthy and tasty to eat. Salads made with couscous and chicken and/or veggies, kahl bi (Korean marinated short ribs), and marinated flank steak are all favorites.
