Maria's Broccoli Rabe

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2010
I followed the recipe exactly as written and we still found it to be very bitter. I had rapini a while back in an Italian restaurant and don't remember it tasting bitter at all. Maybe I'll try boiling it for longer than 5 minutes next time.

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
Oh my, this was delicious! I didn't have low-sodium soy sauce so I used 1/2 cup regular soy sauce + 1/4 cup water to substitute. As per some other reviews I added 2 bay leaves and 1/2 TBSP of peppercorns. It only had to cook 4 hours in my slow cooker and the meat was falling off the bone! Thanks for a delicious and easy recipe.

Maple Corn Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
I followed the recipe exactly as is and the family gobbled it up. The only change I made was to drizzle a bit of maple syrup over the batter before baking.

Barley Burger Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
I had a 1/2 lb of raw minced beef sitting in the fridge and was looking for a recipe to use it up. I tried this recipe with high hopes as per the other reviews but me and the family found this recipe very bland and boring.

Chewy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2010
These were easy and delicious! I didn't change a thing except I added a bit more honey just to help it mix up a bit easier. I also added only 1 cup of chocolate chips. The family went crazy for them and they're really not into granola bars. Great recipe!

Lebanese-Style Red Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2010
I followed the recipe to a "T" and I found that the soup was way too thick, almost a pastey texture. When I served it I had to dilute it with alot of water. Other than that the taste was okay. I won't be making this again as I have better lentil soup recipes in my repertoire.

Banana Loaf Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
My kind of baking - everything in 1 bowl!!! I made this yesterday and it's nearly gone! The only change I made was to decrease the sugar to 3/4 cup and I threw in a handful of chocolate chips. The next time I make it I'll take some other reviewers advice and add some cinnamon just to change it around a bit. This is a simple and delicious banana loaf. Thanks for the recipe.

Rob and Becky's Pimm's™ Lemonade

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2010
This was delicious! My daughter-in-law's mother was visiting from Manchester, England and I served this to her last night at our BBQ. She said she's going to make me an honorary Brit!!! I did not use the apple or the lime and I increased the mint to 5 leaves.

Sopapilla Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2010
Absolutely delish! Today was my first time making this and it's to die for! I followed some other suggestions of reducing the sugar and the butter. I reduced the sugar in the cream cheese to 3/4 cup. I reduced the butter to 1/4 cup but will reduce it even further the next time I make it. I also reduced the sugar to 1/4 cup and 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon for the sugar/cinnamon mixture. Thanks SAINTWIC for this wonderful recipe.

Caribbean-Spiced Roast Chicken

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
Made this tonight for dinner and it was a hit! The aroma coming from the oven was amazing! The only thing I changed is that I removed the skin from the chicken, then brushed with oil and the spices. The chicken came out moist and juicy without the added fat of the chicken skin.

Veal Stew

Reviewed: May 3, 2010
I've made this recipe twice now. The first time I followed the recipe exactly but tonight, as I didn't have white wine, I substituted red wine and it was equally delicious. I also add a pinch of sugar to cut back on the acid taste of the tomato sauce. This is a real winner. Thanks for posting!

I made this last night and all I can say is WOW! Easy and super-delicious. I didn't change a thing except I sprinkled a bit more taco mix on the chicken breasts. Definitely a keeper! Thanks for the recipe.

Slow Cooker Sausage with Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
Delicious and easy! The only thing I would change is to decrease the cooking time as we found that cooking on LOW for 6 hours made the sausages mushy and fall apart. Next time I'm going to try it with spicy/hot sausages. Definitely a keeper. :)
