Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2012
For my family, this recipe was just okay, nothing special. When you do make this, however, cut down on the bread crumbs as I threw out probably half of them after coating my chicken pieces.

Beaker's Vegetable Barley Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
Made it today and it is totally awesome! The only changes I made was to use chicken broth instead of vegetable broth and I cut the amount of barley down to 3/4 cup and I used 1/2 cup frozen mixed veggies for the zucchini. Thank you for posting this delicious and healthy soup recipe!

Sarah's Banana Bread Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
Easy and delicious! As per other reviews, I added 1 tsp vanilla and cut back on the sugar to 3/4 cup. Instead of the nuts I threw in 1/4 cup chocolate chips. Thanks for posting!

Indian Curried Barley Pilaf

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
Made this for the first time this evening for dinner and it was a huge hit! In fact, this was the first time I ever cooked barley in my entire life, but now, thanks to this recipe, I'll definitely be making it again. I followed the recipe exactly as wroitten except I didn't add the raisins or the nuts. Thanks for posting this yummy recipe!

Glazed Meatloaf II

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
Made this tonight for dinner and the entire family declared this a winner! The only substitution I made was using 3/4 cup bread crumbs for the 3 slices of bread. Thank you for posting this delicious recipe!

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
I followed everyone's suggestion about mixing the sauce on the stovetop to thicken it, however, after pouring it on the boneless chicken breasts and baking it uncovered for 40 minutes the sauce did not thicken in the least! Maybe I should have covered it?? The taste was great so I'll definitely try it again but will cover the roasting pan next time.

Italian Square Meatballs

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
I'm giving this 4 stars just for the sheer ease of making it. But instead of putting the mixture into a 9 x 12 pan and shaping it into an 8" square, why don't you just bake it in an 8" square pan, which is what I did! The taste was okay, nothing special, but very easy to make and the square meatballs look cute.

Dry Onion Soup Mix

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2011
Excellent! Tastes just like Liptons Onion Soup Mix. I prepare individual packages of the mix by placing the mix in snack-sized ziploc baggies. And when a recipe calls for an envelope of onion soup I simply grab one of the zip loc bags. And by the way, I reuse the baggies. :)

Great substitute for Heinz Chili Sauce at a mere fraction of the price! I added just a bit more vinegar and a shake of chili powder. Excellent recipe!

Baked Chicken In a Sweet BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2011
Simple and delicious! I did not use a full cup of water when mixing the cornstarch. I didn't meausre the water but it was probably only 1/3 cup. I also covered the chicken with foil as per the advice of the other reviewers.

Ethiopian Cabbage Dish

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2011
Absolutely delicious! I just finished 2 bowls right now! I cut the oil down to 1/4 cup and it was more than enough. I doubled the spices as per other reviewers suggestion and I had to cook it a bit longer than the suggested 30 minutes after I added the potatoes. Thank you so much for posting this awesome recipe!

Oven Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2011
I made this tonight for dinner and all I can say is WOW! How can something this easy taste so wonderful? The only thing I did different is to quarter the potatoes and bake them for 30 minutes. I also threw the cut up potatoes into the roasting pan and then poured the oil/onion soup mix on top.

Nannie's Hot Milk Sponge Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2011
I find the cake a little dense and chewy instead of light and fluffy as a sponge cake should be, however, it still tastes great. I added a pinch of salt to the batter as advised by others.

Mango-Pineapple Smoothie

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2011
I wanted to duplicate the Mango Pineapple Smoothie at McDonalds so I was ecstatic when I found this recipe! I just made it, and even though I completely forgot to add the cream of coconut this was just as refreshing and delicious as McDonalds and a lot cheaper. I made it with 0% fat vanilla yogurt which just brought the calorie count way down. Thanks for posting! :D

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2011
The name says it all....unbelievable tasting chicken! I subbed Dijon mustard for the coarse grained and used bottled lime and lemon juice instead of fresh. I only had time to marinate it for 5 hours instead of the full 8, but it was totally delish anyways! Thank you, thank you for posting this yummy recipe! :)
