Lasagna Spirals

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2007
Fabulous! I scaled it down to two servings, since it was just me eating this. It smelled delightful cooking, and although I was skeptical about the broccoli, the taste was amazing. I wish I had made this sooner, it is just wonderful. I plan on making this again real soon, thank you!

Easy Pasta Fagioli

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
It was a cold day here in Chicago (we saw our first snow flurries)! I knew right away I needed something warm and filling, and looking through my recipe box, I stumbled onto this little gem. It was the perfect meal, this is to DIE for! I've never had pasta fagioli before, so I really can't compare it to anything. But this tasted absolutely wonderful! The only change I made was omitting the carrots, as I didn't have any on hand. I wish I had tried this one out sooner! But now I know it is a keeper for sure, thank you so much Cindy!

Okra with Tomatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2007
I've made many variations of this side dish, but this one stands out with the cayenne pepper. Being a fan of it, I was extra generous with the amount I used. Very tasty and it had the perfect kick. Well done.

Spiced Sweet Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2007
Delicious! It tastes just like the exact kind I get from Trader Joes, only better! I could eat this all in one sitting. I'll be making this again.

Chili Popcorn

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2007
I've made something similar to this before, so I just eyeballed the seasonings according to my taste. I love popcorn, and this is one of my favorite ways to eat it.

Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2007
Wow, these are good! I cut my sticks in half so they were more bite sized. I also used a combination of mozzarella, colby jack, and pepper jack cheese sticks. Delicious!

Habanero Hellfire Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2007
Hellfire couldn't be more accurate! This is such a great tasting chili, but not recommended for the average chili fan. You REALLY need to be a fan of spice to eat this one. This was my first attempt at making chili, and I'm pleased with how easy this was. Don't let the large ingredient list throw you off, this is a very simple recipe. Hands down, this is a keeper!

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2013
Hands down, the best dip ever! I followed the recipe to a "t", there's no need for any changes. Actually, I did use a bit more cheese than called for, but M's a cheese-a-holic so.... that's that! Keeping this for sure, thanks Tiffany!

Chicago-Style Hot Dog

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2007
Ahhhh sweet home Chicago; one of the reasons I love this city. This is the ONLY way to eat a hot dog around here. And do not, do NOT ask for ketchup, ever! For those of you having trouble finding sport peppers, they're sold by other jarred pickle/pepper products. They range from a light to dark green, and are about the size of your pinkie. They CAN be spicy, depending on your spice tolerance, check out viennabeef.com and click on products until you find the sport peppers. It is true most people (aka tourists) pick them off anyways! But to each their own; you haven't experienced Chicago until you've had a true Chicago style hot dog!

Pittsburgh Football Party Cilantro Salsa

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
I love salsa, so waiting 8 hours to eat this was out of the question. I compromised by putting most in the fridge, and left a small sample to try out. And wow, is this stuff good! Being a huge cilantro fan, this recipe was right up my alley. I can only imagine how great this will taste tomorrow. I'm tempted to eat this with a spoon, it's that good. Great recipe!

Salsa I

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
This is the perfect mild salsa. A couple of coworkers don't care for my usual batch of salsa, since I make it really spicy, so I gave this a try. I did throw everything in the food processor, as I usually do. I threw in a seeded jalapeno too, but they can't even tell. :)

Green Salsa

Outstanding! I added lime juice, and although I left out the salt, I hardly missed it. I had a craving for green salsa today, and this one fit the bill nicely. Thanks Brian!

Very good! Used only one jalapeno, since that's all I had on hand, and three cloves of garlic.

Tia and David's Deep Fried Tortellini

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2007
These were so good! I doubled the recipe for my coworkers, and they disappeared immediately. For a dipping sauce, I bought an alfredo sauce, but I made Simple Delicious Pasta Sauce from this site. Fabulous recipe!

Microwave Popcorn

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2010
I LOVE this! So easy, and so versatile, how can you go wrong? I seasoned the mixture with Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning, but the possibilities are endless with how you want to season yours. This is so much better than store-bought microwavable popcorn!

Leftover Dog Pile

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2010
I was looking for a way to use up leftover chili from Sunday, and this was perfect! I wasn't sure about the mustard on top, but it works out nicely, giving the overall meal a little "zip." This is a great starting point to use and then let your creativity take over. Next time, I'll top with some sour cream and jalapeno slices. Well done, thanks!

Avocado, Tomato and Mango Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2007
This was so good! I followed this recipe to a "T", I didn't add or change anything. I made it yesterday, and my brother-in-law, a salsa addict, happened to stop by. He tried it, and the next thing I know, he told me he ate just about all of it. I thought he was joking, but the bowl was near empty! Guess I'll be making this again real soon!
