Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
I made this for dinner this evening and it turned out FANTASTIC!!!! I have been looking for a spaghetti sauce and meatball recipe for my keeper collection and I have found it. I modified the recipe a bit. I used 2 cans of tomato sauce and one can of diced tomatoes instead of the whole tomatoes and tomato paste. I also didn't have 90 minutes to simmer the sauce and it still tasted great after only 30 minutes. For the meatballs, Instead of cooking them in the sauce, I baked them on a cookie sheet, covered with foil, at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. I got approximately 20 out of the recipe. Can't wait for leftovers for lunch!!! YUMMY!

Pumpkin Muffins II

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
I have made these muffins several times and they are alwasy delicious. For Thanksgiving, instead of making muffins, I made it into a cake and drizzled it with cream cheese icing. I used a bundt pan and baked it at the same temperature for about an hour and 15 minutes (until a toothpick came out clean). It turned out very good. Definitely a great fall recipe.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
Great recipe for an apple crisp with a little hearty feel. The topping is so delicious! I made this for a friends wedding rehearsal dinner and both pans were gone in a snap. Served hot out of the oven with vanilla ice cream is the perfect combo. No changes made to the recipe.

FANTASTIC!!!! Took the advice from other reviewers and used half white and half brown sugar. Also, decreased water and mixed apples with a little cinnamon and sugar before putting them in the baking dish. Most certainly a KEEPER!!!

Butter Brickle Frozen Delight

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
This dessert was very good. Everyone loved it. Next time I make it, I will probably use a 9 X 13 pan, as it will be easier to transport. Also, I think this dessert would be beautiful served in a triffle bowl and not frozen. When freezing it, do so overnight. I put it in the freezer for 3 hours and it was still pretty soft. Will certainly be making this again!!!
