Beer Bread I

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2009
Amazing! Also just added a little baking powder and salt to all-purpose flour. Best when still warm. Mmmm!

Becki's Oven Barbecue Chicken

great flavors. I added 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper for a little more spice, but it would have been just as good without.

Wiener Schnitzel

Reviewed: May 10, 2009
I used pork instead of veal, and decreased the cooking time because the pork was thinner than what the recipe called for. I was raised half in Germany, and half in the U.S., so I know from first hand experience, that this is as close as it comes to an authentic German schnitzel! Yum! Thanks for the great recipe!

German Red Cabbage

Reviewed: May 10, 2009
My mom is originally from Germany and came over here in her 20's, so her red cabbage was always the best! I didn't have her recipe, but since it was a surprise Mother's Day meal, I thought I'd give this one a try instead. She tasted it, and asked where I got her recipe from! Probably the best compliment ever. :)

Sugar Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
These were great... I actually liked them better when they were baked for only half an hour as opposed to the full hour. Great recipe. I'm using this in tins for small presents during the holidays!

Restaurant-Style Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
I used lean italian seasoned ground turkey instead of the sausage. I also used a little less cream and turkey bacon to cut down on the fat and calories a little. Great recipe. Will definately have to make again!

I doubled the recipe, and used half extra lean turkey and half regular ground turkey. It turned out great! I will make this again soon!

Excellent! My dad did not want to try it at first, but once he did, he stayed by the bowl until it was done!

This recipe was good... the mushrooms were by far the best. I added onions as well, which turned out nicely.

Whole Wheat Chapati

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2007
Did not really work out at all. The dough never really became "firm and elastic", so I doubled the recipe with half all-purpose and half wheat flour. After that it turned out much better.

Indian Chicken Curry II

I loved this recipe! I actually left out the cayanne pepper because I don't like really spicy food. All the people I had over LOVED it. Great recipe!

Lime Ice Cream

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2007
You really don't need an ice cream maker for this one! I just froze it in a tuperware instead. It was better than any store-bought ice cream. I think I am going to try the same recipe with different fruit flavors next time! It was so good!
