Crab Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
Decent... not amazing. Was worth making once, but there are better dip recipes out there.

Stuffed Beef and Black Bean Tamale Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
Pretty good... there was hardly enough cornbread mix to go around the outside of the dish though. It was wonderful warm, but not so good as leftovers.

Chicken and Dumplings III

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
Delicious... addictive... amazing. I had never made chicken and dumplings before... but, man, was this recipe easy! The only thing I changed was that I shredded chicken breasts instead because it was just what I had on hand. Great Recipe!

Make-Ahead Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
I did use italian breadcrumbs as previous suggestions indicated. I also used a good amount of seasoning salt. Really good, but not anything too out of the ordinary. Nice to have them frozen and on hand whenever you need them.

Make-Ahead Pizza Meat Loaves

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
I actually messed up and left the sauce out of the meat mixture. Since I had already formed the "meatloaves", I just poured the sauce over the top of them. DELICIOUS! Served with pasta.

Cheesy Acorn Squash

Made as a side dish for something a little different on Thanksgiving. Was absolutely delicious.

Beer Margaritas

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
I always add more beer to cut down on the sweetness, otherwise, great recipe on a hot day!

Sausage Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
These were spicier than I thought, but still delicious. I sent my husband out for jalepenos, and of course he picked out the biggest ones instead of the appetizer-size ones, but I wrapped them in a whole slice of bacon and ate it with a ford instead. They were delicious!

Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
I think that the recipe is supposed to call for a 16 oz package of macaroni. That is what I used and it worked out perfectly. I didn't use any onion, and used honey mustard instead of dry mustard. You could almost just eat this out the pot... it really doesn't need baking for that long. DELICIOUS. Will make again and again.

Cocktail Meatballs

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
As is, the cranberry flavor is too overpowering. I changed it by adding some diet coke, seasoned salt and about a 1/8 cup barbeque sauce. Really great after the additions.

Butterfinger Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
Really great.... I think that 5 butterfingers would be way too many though. I used about 3. Delicious.

Kickin' BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2011
I could see how this would be a good sauce over pulled pork once combined with the smokiness of the pork. I simmered this sauce for an hour and it was still very runny. It is a little too sweet/vinegary for my taste. Like Kelly says in the sauce description, I feel like it would be much better with some premade barbeque sauce mixed in.

Fresh Mozzarella Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2011
While it was a good idea, I had to add tons of balsamic dressing, italian dressing, garlic powder and seasoned salt to keep this dish from being bland. Next time I will make a pesto to replace the plain basil. Good, but needs a lot of adjustments.

Fruit Pizza I

Really delicious... made for a community group meeting and there was none left at the end. I used blueberries, raspberries and strawberries.

Veggie Pizza

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
Really good... only used half of the ranch dip mix. I think it may have been too salty for my taste if I would have added all of it.

Asian Salad

This is wonderful! I substituted the sesame seeds with about 1/4 cup of sunflower seeds, but otherwise, the recipe is great as is! Will make again.

New Orleans Corn Bisque with Smoked Sausage

Made as is... with the exception of plenty of seasoned salt and a little garlic powder. My husbad who says that soup "isn't filling enough" LOVED it.

Taco Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
It may not be the most refined meal you will ever eat, but it sure is good! I cooked the onions with the ground beef so they weren't crunchy. This is SO GOOD... made it twice in one week. :)

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Substituted shredded chicken breast for the ground beef and ginger powder for pickled ginger. Wonderful light meal or appetizer! Will definitely make again!
