Penne with Chicken and Asparagus

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2007
Like the previous reviewers stated, this is a very light recipe. But I also live in AZ and recipies like this a perfect in the summer when you want a meal but it's too hot to eat something really heavy. I also made a couple of modifications. I used a 1 1/4 cup of chicken broth and I also tossed in half a bag of sundried tomatoes and let those simmer with the asparagus and it gave the dish a very subtle tomoato flavor. My 2.5 year old liked this dish (although he could have done without the asparagus). Nonetheless, I this recipie is a keeper.

Apple and Honey Sorbet

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
This dish was very good and very easy to make. I was skeptical about not peeling the apples but the previous reviewers were right, it makes for a very nice texture. You can also adjust the amount of sugar to get it as sweet (or tart) as you like.

Jewish Apple Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
I made this recipie last night for Rosh Hashana dinner and it was a hit. This was the first itme I've made apple cake and it was dense, but very moist and with great flavor. I struggled with cook time after reading the recipie and other reviews here. I cooked the cake for 80 minutes and the bottom got a bit burned. Next time I will cook it less, but I am adding this to my arsenal of desserts.

White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
I LOVE this recipie. I've already made it twice and the cookie were moist, chewy, and a HUGE hit with people. Like other reviewers said, I replaced the Brandy with vanilla. I also like this recipie because it's simple and you can put ANYTHING in there and the cookies will work. My son and I are going to make dark chocolate chip cookies with this recipie later today. DEFINATE keeper.

Passover Chocolate Chip Meringues

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2009
These we very good and very easy to make. I also used butterscotch chips just for a little variety. After reading the other reviews, I baked these cookies for 15 minutes and THEN turned off the over and left them in overnight. They came out perfect.

Lemon Blueberry Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2010
This bread is fantastic! Terrific flavor, easy to make, and my friends and family loved it. I skipped the lemon zest and nuts and instead added an extra 1/4 cup of blueberries. This was just personal preference. This recipie is a definite keeper!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2014
I found this recipe a few years ago and it's been a staple for our family ever since. Because I like my chili thick and chunky, I omit the 2 1/2 cups of tomato sauce and use two, 28 oz. cans of diced tomatoes (including juice). For a lower fat option, I will also use ground turkey instead of ground beef, however the flavor is better with ground beef (this is a personal preference as my family can't tell the difference). Toss the entire recipe in the crock pot and let it simmer on low all day. You won't be disappointed when you sit down to dig in. I've yet to have a complaint when I've served this dish.
