About this Cook
I am a young professional trying to make it in the world. I was raised with a wide variety of foods, and was never a picky eater. I have recently taken on the challenge of introducing "new and exciting foods" to my fiancee's extremely picky palate... ;-)
My favorite things to cook
Everyday is a different mood... I love to entertain with big, glamorous meals. The other side of me loves easy casseroles, and my absolute favorite is my Momma's Green Bean Casserole....
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family has always been surrounded with food. We share everything with food. If you show up to Dad's or Grandma's, always expect to be greeted with a hot plate and to leave with a full stomach.
My cooking triumphs
My Momma taught me everything I know about cooking. Losing her at the young age of 20 was tough. I love to cook and see the result of all the knowledge she passed down to me. She was very passionate about food, and I hope that I can make her proud with sharing my passion with my own family.
My cooking tragedies
I can only offer advice here.... Always.. ALWAYS... Read the directions COMPLETELY THROUGH before beginning ANY recipe. ;-)

Brown Sugar Meatloaf
If I can make a meatloaf and have the "I don't like meat" husband wanting seconds and thirds -- it's a winner. Absolutely delicious! I know some folks didn't enjoy the meatloaf roasting in it's own juices, but when the juices mix with the ketchup and brown sugar - it is absolutely amazing on top of the meatloaf and mashed potatoes! Yum! The only changes I made -- I added a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce and I sauteed 3 cloves of garlic with the onion before adding to the meat mixture. Absolutely fabulous!

Creamiest Chocolate Mousse
This is a wonderful recipe. Advice for others --- the mousse is not made to sit. It's supposed to be prepared, then eaten.... Letting it sit in the ice box will allow the proteins and fats to break down and seperate. So... EAT EAT EAT!!
