Beef Bulgogi

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2012
This recipe was great. Local groceries didn't have any sesame seeds so we left that out. Marinated it for about 12 hours and the flavor really held. I prepared it for my husbands birthday party and many of the guests who don't typically enjoy Asian cuisine loved it. Served with spring rolls and sushi rice - yum!

Orange Banana Nut Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
This was really great, I also added a pureed orange and cut back the flour as suggested by other reviewers. I will likely add more banana or cut back on orange puree as I didn't get much banana flavor with those changes. thanks for a great recipe!

Kathy's Delicious Whole Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2011
I enjoyed this recipe. My husband thought the meat needed salting, but I disagreed so I still gave it 5 star. We served it over some yakisoba noodles that we threw in the slow cooker about 5-10 minutes before and it was a great compliment. thanks!

Cut-Out Cookies in a Flower Pot

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2012
Would have given it 5 stars, but I had to use less flour ( about 6 cups) and only half of the butter extract . We used both traditional cut outs and the cookie cutters that leave imprints, dough held really well, did not expand as much as other recipes I've used. Will definitely use again.

Apple Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2010
This did not come out at all how i anticipated. As it cooked, the water leached out and it was a little too watery, the apples were soft and the cheese melted out before the chicken was done cooking.

Spinach Basil Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2013
really enjoyed this. used less basil leaves (probably about 1/3-1/2 what recipe calls for) and used chicken since I did not have any prosciutto on hand.

Chicken with Bouillon

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2013
very simple to make. we followed advice of other reviews and only put somewhat less than a tablespoon of the bouillon and was to our liking. served it as an entrée and cut up the leftovers the next day in a pasta salad for lunch. (we cooked fresh garlic also for the leftover chicken for a slightly different flavor profile and that was delicious as well)

just as an fyi, this definitely does not (or at least, for me - did not) keep very well for future leftovers...

Turkey Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2012
We really liked this recipe, but after looking through the reviews made some initial changes. We only used one cup of broth, left out the oregano/parsley (none around) and eyeballed how much veggies would fit (slightly less than the amount suggested above, probably 2:1 to meat). After adding the meat mixture we also put the 11oz can condensed chicken soup. We let the mixture cool down for about 20 minutes and then popped it in the oven. We were only searching for a way to use up thanksgiving leftovers, but my husband was so enamored I'm sure this will come out again. Thanks!
