Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Quick, easy, and delicious. This is the first time I have heard "I love fish!" come out of my 4 y/o daughter's mouth.

I made this tonight for the first time for a Mexican-themed potluck. I thought that it was very good, and everyone else (especially my husband) thought it was delicious! Super easy to make too! I used normal vanilla extract since that is what I had on hand, and I only put 1/2 cup sugar in with the mixture spread on the top. Rolling out the crescent rolls on wax paper was a great idea by another reviewer. It took about 45 minutes to bake in my oven. I served it at room temperature.

Hamburger Vegetable Soup

Mmm mmm mmm. Just finished this meal and didn't want to stop! My husband loved it too and our children (2 and 4 y/o) enjoyed it I think. I only used one packet of onion soup mix and 1/2 onion since that is all that I had on hand, so I added a little bit more frozen peas/carrots, noodles, and a tablespoon or so of garlic powder. Just delicious!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

I followed this recipe as it was written and it ended up tasting great! Our 1 year old even enjoyed it. We added salt to each serving and that was all it needed.

Win's Shrimp and Spaghetti

I followed the recipe with one exception: I used 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil and 1/4 cup "Smart Balance" butter. My husband made comments such as "Give this one 5 stars!", and "This tastes like a restaurant meal!". Easy to make.

American Shepherd's Pie

This makes a warm, hearty, and delicious meal! I added some garlic powder and worcheshire sauce to the meat mixture, and used one can of cream of mushroom soup in place of the vegetable soup. I also used Cheddar cheese on top.

Cream of Tomato Soup

I needed a last minute tomato soup recipe and only had dry chopped onion in the pantry. Using ~3/4 cup of chopped onion, a dash of garlic powder, and a dash of basil, this turned out to be an excellent and very easy to prepare meal! I would have given the soup we had a "4", because I opted to strain out some of the onion pieces mid-meal, so I'm assuming that with fresh onions as the recipe calls for it would be a "5" as I noted here.

Chocolate Mint Candies Cookies

I've used these a couple of times for cookie exchanges and they are a huge hit! I'm not much of a baker and I haven't messed these up yet. I used Peppermint Patties the first time around and they were delicious like that as well. These cookies are still delicious (perhaps even more so) a couple of days after baking them!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Has been a huge hit with guests every single time. I use one can of beef broth in place of the beer. Tastes even better with cornbread on the side (I've enjoyed both homesteader and absolute mexican from this site).

Ham Bone Soup

Very tasty! I added celery and garlic and cooked it on low for about 7 hours. Carrots would have fit in nicely to this soup as well. I also used 6 t. sodium free chicken bouillon granules in place of the cubes.
