Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
This was really, really good! I made it according to directions, however I used the hot "rooster" sauce. I will probably use less of that next time, as I don't want to have the fire hot spicy chicken that I ended up having. Nonetheless, it was very good!

Crabby Cream Cheese Wontons

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
These were pretty delicious! I added more cream cheese by suggestion on former reviews. I also used lowfat cream cheese and added pineapple tidbits inside as opposed to crab. I did not deep fry, but put a little oil in a pan and just crisped them. They turned out pretty good! Will do again!

Dee's Roast Pork for Tacos

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
I would have to agree it fantastic!! I made it with a whole packet of taco seasoning, added cumin (gotta have cumin in Mexican food to me) and put a large can of diced green chiles undrained in there. I also added a half a can of beef broth as per a previous recommendation. Next time though, I will use the whole can as it was slightly dry. I also used a chuck roast, as I'm a beef taco lover, and slow cooked it all day while I was at work. It was fantastic!! Spicy and yummy!!! I used the leftovers next morning for breakfast tacos...mmmm!! Will for sure make again.

Mandarin Shrimp and Vegetable Stir Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
I really was not that impressed with this. I don't think I'll make it again, but maybe with a few changes. I would not steam the veggies, I would just simply stir fry them. I prefer crisp veggies, and they were just too limp for my taste. Also, even with the sugar free jam, it still had too much sweetness for me. I would use half the amount of orange required. I was not a huge fan of the consistency, the sticky sweet combo is just not in my taste. All in all, wasn't horrible, but not a keeper!

Amazing Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2008
I will for sure make this again!! These ribs were so tender, the fell off the bone. I boiled, then seared on the grill, then put in the slow cooker. Mine were only able to be in the slow cooker on high for about 2 hours. (I ran out of time!) However, the were still SO tender. They were a huge hit with my family who had come over for dinner and not a single morsel was left! Thanks for a great recipe!!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2008
This is by far the BEST lasagna I've ever had or made!! I made it for my boyfriend, and he said the same. I took the suggestions of just soaking the noodles in hot water instead of boiling. I only simmered the meat sauce for about 30 minutes and assembled the lasagna the night before. The next evening, we took it out of the fridge and just warmed it up. It was so, so, so good!!! Thank you for an awesome recipe!

Broccoli with Rigatoni

Reviewed: May 12, 2007
I loved this dish! It was a huge hit with my boyfriend, very light and tasty. I added a little bit more EVOO at the end and mixed a parmesan/romano blend of cheeses in with a bit of salt and pepper. I also poached chicken in broth then shredded and added in with the broccoli mixture. Otherwise, no changes! Plus, it got my boyfriend to eat the "little trees" referred to as broccoli. Will make again!

Pasta Primavera with Italian Turkey Sausage

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
Fantastic! I improvised and used hot italian sausage and omitted the tomatoes, but otherwise followed it to a "t". This was a fantastic dish that I served to an entire dinner party. It met to rave reviews! Spicy but not hot, flavorful but not too heavy - wonderful dish!
