About this Cook
Of Jamaican, German, French descent. Born in Okinawa, Japan. Recently married my junior high sweetheart. We have no children. Enjoy cooking for my husband, trying out new recipes, working on our home (built in 1908) and would love to entertain more often once our house is "fixed up".
My favorite things to cook
Breakfast!!!! I'm a huge fan of breakfast. I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to bake and grill in the summer.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Since our family is relatively new (married 3 years 1 month), I can't say we have "traditions" yet. Ask me again five years from now.
My cooking tragedies
Thanksgiving 2003. Placing a glass casserole dish hot out of the oven on top of my parents' electric stove. Little did I know that the burner I set it on was actually on. You can guess what happened next - the casserole dish shattered and sent the contents flying all over the kitchen. I was more upset about not being able to taste my new concoction than the glass dish breaking!!!

World's Best Lasagna
Excellent! My husband and guests rave about this lasagna. Whenever I make this, I always make an extra one for the freezer or a needy family.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins
Exceptional recipe! I added vanilla beans, a dash of nutmeg and a splash of cinnamon to the batter, all which added a lot of flavor. One thing that I would implement the next time I make these muffins is to melt the butter for the cinnamon-sugar streusel topping instead of mashing it. That step was time consuming. Also, I should have ignored every one (well most every one) elses reviews about there being too much streusel. I was conservative with mine and my muffins would have been much more beautiful and tasty had I used all of it. Thanks for posting such a delish recipe.
