These were great! I definitely agree with cooking them a bit first. I microwaved them for 5 minutes before sauteeing.

Whole Wheat Honey Bread

This bread is amazing! I don't use a bread maker, so I kneaded the dough, then let it double in size. I punched it down, kneaded it some more and then put it into 2 greased bread pans and let it rise again. I then put it in a 350 degree oven for 30-40 minutes until browned.

Spanakopita (Greek Spinach Pie)

This was excellent. I changed it a little bit, too. First, make sure that you strain your spinach....even fresh has a lot of fluid in it and it will be mushy if you don't. I used 3 T butter and 1 T olive oil when sauteeing to add some flavor. I doubled the Feta (we love Feta) added an additional 1/4 C of Ricotta, a dash of garlic powder, 2 dashes of salt and some freshly ground pepper. I, also, quadrupled the phyllo dough (we're a dough family). My husband LOVED it. He said that it tastes just like our Greek family makes (my extended family is Greek).

Golden Pork Chops

I did as others, sauteed onions and mushrooms with some fresh garlic and then browned the meat in the same pan. I didn't have golden mushroom, so I used cream of mushroom. This meal was good...even my picky 3 year old like it.
