Best Burgers Ever

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
These were great! I used 1/2 an egg, and that was plenty--it wasn't too moist or dry. I used 1/2 tsp ground ginger, 2 cloves minced garlic, and 1 1/2 tsp garam masala. We were out of cilantro, but I didn't really miss it. It made three burgers. They were flavorful but not spicy, which my two-year-old appreciated. Will definitely make again!

Spicy Chipotle Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
Wow! Even with all the good reviews, I was surprised just how tasty these are. Only change I made was using two peppers instead of one. This recipe is definitely a keeper.

Spinach Cantaloupe Salad with Mint

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
Wow! I would have never thought to put this combination of flavors together, but it worked so well. I made it exactly as written and we loved it. I served shrimp skewers on the side and my husband said he would have liked the shrimp on the salad. I'm not much of a shrimp person, so I was quite happy eating it as it was. I'll definitely make this again!

Erin's Indonesian Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2008
Yum! Doubled the sauce, used 1/2 chunky and 1/2 smooth peanut butter, omitted peanuts. Otherwise made it as written. Excellent flavor, just the right kick. I'll definitely be making this again.

Brooklyn Girl's Penne Arrabiata

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
Very tasty, easy to make, and all ingredients are ones I typically have on hand. Only used 1 cup bread crumbs and 1 egg, and cut the chicken up before breading and frying. 1 tsp crushed red pepper makes it nice and spicy, so if you want less heat, decrease a bit. My husband exclaimed, "This is a keeper!" THREE times while eating (a record, I believe) so I know we'll be eating this again!

Moussaka

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2007
This is totally worth the work that goes into making it! I'd eaten moussaka on a trip to Greece and was skeptical of my ability to reproduce this tasty dish. But this recipe did the trick. I broiled the eggplant instead of frying, but otherwise followed the recipe as written. We'll definitely be making this again!

Chicken Jalfarezi

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2007
Yum! Very tasty. I doubled the spices, which made it flavorful but not hot. Next time I'll probably add some cayenne pepper to give it some heat. I ended up stirring in a few tablespoons of water as I cooked, to keep it from drying out. This recipe was easy to make and a great way to use up leftover chicken!

Pan-Seared Chicken Breasts with Shallots

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
Very easy and very good! Taking others' advice, I doubled the sauce, thickened it a bit with corn starch, and added mushrooms. Husband couldn't get enough of it. Knowing that I still have some shallots and leftover chicken broth in the fridge, he asked if we could have it again this week!
