Pecan Pie IV

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
I have never baked a pecan pie in my life, and I decided to suprise my wife by helping her get a head start on Thanksgiving baking. This pie was SO easy to make, and it tasted fantastic. My wife tried a piece and was very impressed. One thing I did was to break the pecans into smaller pieces. My mom has been bakingpecan pies for years, and always chips her pecans up. Thanks Earthymom for a great recipe. It's a keeper!!

My 7 year old son made these and added 1 teaspoon of vanilla. They were fantastic!! Light, fluffy, and flavorful. We will make these again soon.

Hamburger Casserole

Reviewed: May 1, 2008
I made this last night for my family and it was a huge hit! I substituted rice for egg noodles (was out of noodles), and used salsa with cheese blended in instead of regular salsa. I also added a little garlic to the hamburger and onion as I was cooking it, and added shreaded cheese blend on top of the mixture, baking as directed. My wife had seconds and thirds, and my 5 year old son loved it too (and he is pretty picky). I will try this again!

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2007
I cooked this chicken last night for dinner. The whole family liked it. I did not have any potato flakes, but the recipe turned out great. Next time, I am going to try Ritz crackers in place of saltines. Also, I used my cast iron skillet which I prefer when cooking chicken. This recipe is a keeper!

Cajun Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2007
I tried this recipe last night on my charcoal grill and it turned out very good. Like other reviewers, I used olive oil and marinated the chicken for about 1 1/2 hours. The chicken was tasty and juicy. The kids especially liked it and asked for more. Great recipe!

Smoky Grilled Vegetables

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2007
I tried this recipe last night on my charcoal grill accompanied by grilled chicken. I placed the vegetable pieces on skewers and slowly cooked them on the grill, basting frequently with teriyaki sauce. The taste was delicious! We will definetly try this again!

Delicious Grilled Hamburgers

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
I tried this recipe on a charcoal fired grill. The burgers were tender, but not especially flavorful. I added an egg as suggested by one reviewer, but it made the patties almost too soft for the grill.
