Apple Glazed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2012
I liked this and I made changes that other reviewers did as well. I did the rub before hand of pepper, season salt and garlic powder (I didn't have any cinnamon on hand). I added butter chunks and brown sugar (eyeballed it) to the apple sauce and apple mixture. My son, who is picky, ate 1.5 pieces of pork chop. We all loved the meal.

Butter Beef

I gave this one 5 stars because it was easy to make and tasted good. I made it exactly as directed and it came out perfect. The meat was tender and my boyfriend ate the leftover meat in a sandwich.

Pork Chops with Blue Cheese Gravy

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
I liked this.. not too blue-cheesy. :) I didn't put alot of gravy on the pork chops so there was a lot of gravy leftover. Will make again but for a larger group.

Famous Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2006
Very juicy. I used italian bread crumbs instead of crackers. I also used olive oil spray instead of butter before I put in oven. I took another reviewers idea and added some butter to each chop once I flipped the chops 25 minutes into cooking process. Next time, I might put them under the broiler for the last 5 minutes just to crisp up. Both my boyfriend and I liked these and we don't usually eat pork chops. Thanks for the recipe.

Quick Gnocchi

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2006
It was pretty easy to make. It tasted kind of funny but I think it's because I used buttered potato flakes instead of plain.

Easy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2006
My boyfriend and I love this. I do make a few changes, I add bell pepper instead of onion since the boyfriend doesn't like them. I find the "glaze" a little too mustardy so I might use a little less next time but makes GREAT leftovers. I'll make it with peas and mashed potatoes.

Pan Seared Salmon I

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2005
The meat was moist on the inside but that's about it. I didn't expect such a smoky process complete with smoke alarm blaring!! I should have taken the advice of another reviewer that suggested lower heat for a longer amount of time. Sear the fish then cook it on a lower temp.

No Bakes

Just like I remembered them! Easier than I remembered also. Thanks!!! A hint: before you spoon onto wax paper, let mixture cool for just a moment so it's easier to control size of cookie.

Broiled Lobster Tails

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2005
This recipe was not very clear. When reading it, it seems simple enough but in the process of actually working with the lobster, it was awful. I had small lobster tails and it just seemed like the butter was too much and it would burn before the lobster cooked. I think for this recipe to work, it needs clearer instructions: 1. How big of a lobster tail..is the amount of butter synonymous with the weight of lobster? 2. Should the rack be close to or away from broiler? 3. I cut the shell lengthwise but it was difficult to open slightly...is it supposed to crack? Should the meat be exposed? 4. Is the butter melted BEFORE you put the lobster in the oven? It could be that I just didn't understand, but for such an expensive meal..it should be more precise.

Roasted Asparagus with Shallots

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2005
Great base. I didn't have any shallots or red wine vinegar so I just had olive oil and S&P. I sprinkled some lemon juice on them when they came out of the oven. Yummy!!

T's Easy Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2005
As most other reviewers noted, this was a great base. Some changes I made: I scaled to 4 servings and cut the chicken into pieces. I added more mushrooms, garlic, and tomatoes. I also put a bit of sugar to cut the acidity of both lemon and tomatoes. I originally cut all the veggies up and put it one bowl with the garlic, lemon juice, sugar and tomatoes then added that to the pan after I cooked the chicken and set it aside. Just because of timing I ended up simmering the whole thing for a few minutes. The end result..you have a thin sauce that goes great with pasta and you can taste a hint of lemon.

Easy Stroganoff

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2005
My boyfriend and I liked this recipe. I scaled it to four people and used 1 can of soup and alot of milk. Next time I will cut down on the amount of milk I use. I also used sliced baby portabello mushrooms and sauteed those when I browned the beef. Not too bad for a quick dinner.

The Best Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2005
This was a great starter recipe. I follwed some suggestions from other reviewers. I split the sugar so it was 1/2 white and 1/2 brown sugar. I halved the butter and used applesauce for the other half. I also added some cinnamon and vanilla. I made 4 mini loaves with this recipe and had enough dough left over to make another 2 mini loaves. Keep an eye on it in the oven if you stray from the regular loaf pan size. I would make again when I have bananas that are going bad.

It was a very good soup but I only gave it three stars because I'm not sure how to cut down on the salt. Otherwise it was yummy.

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2002
I made this for my boyfriend as a present. He had wanted me to make a coconut cream pie like his grandmothers and this one did it. He loved it. It wasn't difficult to make. I used the half cream/milk substitute. Also..it didn't burn but I'm new at the baking thing and I had the electric range on low..i should have had it on medium low. OOPS.. so it took longer than should have. P.S. I didn't realize I was basically going for pudding consistancy.. I'm a newbie.
